Doomben Value Bet - Race 3 No. 2 Heman
He was spelled after breaking a long drought on January 22 and in four appearances this campaign, Heman has been in the market via stronger races than he faces on Saturday.
The four-year-old was disappointing last start, however, a tongue tie has been applied and the gelding was on more testing ground for that July 9 attempt (does he race before the rain on Saturday?).
Heman unlucky prior to that when contesting a BM78 on Ipswich Cup Day, while he was runner-up in two Doomben outings to open the prep, which includes a second behind a handy Tuff Tu Mus.

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 7 Dracena
This is harder assignment for Dracena, but the penny may have finally dropped with this filly and she's on an upwards spiral vs many rivals who are deep into their work.
While she couldn't breakthrough as an early three-year-old, she finished her second prep with a third behind a handy quinella at Doomben and Dracena covered ground in that performance.
The Troy Pascoe-trained galloper backed up a good trial when bolting in first-up at the Sunshine Coast and with the rise in distance no knock, she'll get every chance to salute again from a low draw.
XXXX Gold BM85 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Doomben Roughie - Race 7 No. 6 Don't Stop
This is the weakest race that he's contested in 2025, with Don't Stop having completed four starts over a spaced out prep this year and he's often produced on the fresh side.
The veteran outperformed a huge starting price last time out when finishing fourth in the Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich and the gelding recorded the fastest last 400m of that Listed event.
That form has stood up strongly, with first and third filling the quinella of the Listed Glasshouse Handicap, while the runner-up (Sha Of Gomer) won his next two, including the Listed Ramornie Handicap.

Doomben Best Bet - Race 9 No. 2 Savour The Dream
A talented colt from the Bevan Laming stable, Savour The Dream was spelled after contesting two Group 1's in March and those Guineas attempts down south followed back-to-back Brisbane wins.
The son of Super Seth didn't see a strong 2000m in the Rosehill Guineas, but he wasn't disgraced prior that when covering ground via the Australian Guineas and he was specked at a price there.
Savour The Dream gave weight to his rivals in a Doomben triumph on February 8, having been freshened-up after an arrogant Eagle Farm win and both winter trials have been encouraging.
