Since 2005, eight fillies have won the Belmont Classic and it's been a popular race for Belmont Oaks winners, with six runners having completed the Belmont Oaks/Belmont Classic double.
With five victories, William Pike has been the most successful jockey in Belmont Classic history and "The Wizard" teams up with Adam Durrant again, who is aiming for a fourth win in this race.
It was a great training effort to handle the 1400m-2000m rise on a seven-day turnaround, with Fancy Red relishing both a wet track and extra distance via a stylish last start performance.

Belmont Value Bet - Race 5 No. 1 Kisses From Kelly
With no prior first-up victories and nothing expected as a drifting outsider, his July 5 return was a pass mark, where Kisses From Kelly was doing his best work late after settling at the rear.
There's more in his favour this time around, with a switch to Belmont a positive (four wins and three placings from eight starts here), while he's adept on both good and wet ground.
Kisses From Kelly has never finished out of the money in five second-up attempts and while his last four wins have come over staying trips, he's generally thereabouts at a mile.
Lawn Pride Australia Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Belmont Best Bet - Race 6 No. 13 Essentric Nature
This four-year-old impressed in three runs via his first prep for Grant & Alana Williams, with two wins and an unlucky fourth, while the July 14 lead-up trial suggests he's forward enough fresh.
Essentric Nature didn't want any further than 1500m when saluting at Ascot before a spell and his brilliance has been more evident over shorter trips, which includes two slick first-up victories.
There's more depth to Saturday's return assignment than what he contested last campaign, however, Essentric Nature is still on an upwards spiral and this looks another winnable race.
Glenroy Chaff Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Belmont Roughie - Race 7 No. 11 Amjaad
Following a nice win via a May 5 lead-up trial, Amjaad was respected in the market for her first-up attempt at Pinjarra and that was a fair return effort when finishing fifth-of-eight.
The daughter of Flying Artie was quick to drop out second-up over 1600m, but there were reasons for that last start failure, with an elevated heart rate and a slow recovery revealed post-race.
Third-up last prep, Amjaad was grabbed by Dun With The Blues when heavily backed at Ascot and anything resembling that run would her have right in contention for a 'One Metro Win' event.
