Ten Warriors did so via a $100k Caulfield maiden that has already produced a city winner, while On The Prowl was very impressive when bolting in at Pakenham.

Ballarat Favourite - Race 5 No. 8 Rohesia

It’s bordering on D-Day for Rohesia, now fourth-up and stepping to 1400m for the first time, a distance she could be searching for going off her Caulfield effort on VOBIS Day.

The Hayes-trained filly carries 5kg less from that city performance.

The prep opened with a narrow defeat to Southern Crescent, who then just missed at her next start when up in grade at Caulfield.

Second-up at Flemington, she got home with the fastest last 600m and 400m of the Inglis Sprint, a race that has already produced three winners, including Getta Good Feeling, who followed up with a Group 3 win at Caulfield.

At each-way odds, it’s worth respecting A Diva, a mare with upside who landed the cash for us fresh, but Rohesia brings the best form.

AC Accounting Country Oaks Tips (Race 6)

Ballarat Best Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Suntora

This four-year-old has been in good touch for most of the season, with the 2025/26 period netting her four victories to date.

The last three have come over this distance, and that includes a 2000m double at Caulfield over January and February before a decent freshen-up.

While specked at a longer quote, the daughter of Toronado was still at bolters’ odds when contesting the Group 2 Sunline Stakes.

Despite a drop in distance and sharp rise in grade, she finished off well for third in an event taken out by the classy Treasurethe Moment.

In the process, Suntora beat home a string of stakes winners and will strip fitter, with both the set weights and penalties conditions of this country affair and the step back to 2000m big positives.

Tooheys Form-Crete Country Discovery Tips (Race 7)

Ballarat Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 2 Oak Hill

It’s a very competitive edition of the Country Discovery, with a host of live chances for this $300k dash over 1100m.

Oak Hill is one at an each-way quote, a handy sprinter who is often dangerous when prepared on the fresh side.

He has moved well in a Werribee trial since a heavy defeat in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate.

The five-year-old did salute prior to that over this distance at Caulfield, beating Don’t Hope Do, who heads this market, with Damian Lane aboard in that February 7 success.

Lane takes back the reins, a classy rider who has a great rapport with the gelding, with five wins and a second recorded from his seven engagements on Oak Hill, while track pattern will be crucial as they will need to be making ground if he’s to figure.
