Spain vs Croatia UEFA Nations League Tips & Prediction

World champions Spain have leaked only three goals in their last nine games and are tipped to keep a clean sheet in victory when they welcome Croatia to Seville for Tuesday night's UEFA Nations League A showdown.

No need to overcomplicate the main play for this one.

Despite conceding twice to England this past weekend, Spain remain almost impossible to break down through the centre of the park and at the back, while they've now gone a record 39 games unbeaten inside 90 minutes, winning 29.

Currently on an eight-game winning streak, Spain are unbeaten in their own country since 2022 and they should be able to handle an aging Croatia side who didn't really make any impact at the World Cup - save for that dramatic finish against Portugal.

But you just can't go past Spain winning this game to nil, with Rodri dictating play from midfield.

I'll also have a smaller stake on Lamine Yamal to register an assist - something he's done six times in his last five appearances for Barcelona, so the plus money on offer looks decent value.

Spain vs Croatia Head To Head

Spain have won seven of their last 11 previous meetings with Croatia, who have come out on top three times, alongside one draw. La Roja prevailed 3-0 at the 2024 Euros in the most-recent meeting, scoring all three goals in the first half.

Spain Form Analysis

Undisputedly the best team in world football following their second World Cup triumph in North America a few months ago.

Spain eventually found a way through Argentina in that World Cup final in extra-time and opened their Nations League campaign with a stylish 3-2 victory away to England at Wembley.

La Roja were uncharacteristically clumsy at the back, but their attacking firepower ultimately turned the tables after Harry Kane had a chance to make it 3-1 via the penalty spot early in the second half.

Yamal scored his eighth international goal inside two minutes to open the scoring before Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal found the back of the net in the second stanza, handing Spain all three points.

Spain Team News

Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia and Tottenham defender Pedro Porro withdrew ahead of the England win, while Eric Garcia missed the game with a knee problem, with Robin Le Normand coming into the squad.

Pedri could start in midfield alongside Rodri and Dani Olmo, with Baena, Yamal and Oyarzabal forming the front three.

Spain Possible Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Unai Simon; Marc Pubill, Pau Cubarsi, Aymeric Laporte, Marc Cucurella; Rodri, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Alex Baena; Mikel Oyarzabal

Croatia Form Analysis

It was a decent World Cup for Croatia - they beat Ghana and Panama to qualify for the knockout phase, but suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Portugal in the R32.

Earlier in the group stage, Croatia opened their campaign with a 4-2 defeat to England.

Slaven Bilic is back in charge and he guided Croatia to a 2-1 win over Czechia on the road in their Nations League opener.

The 41-year-old Luka Modric opened the scoring for Croatia early in the second half before Marco Pasalic grabbed the winner in just his second international goal.

Croatia Team News

Pasalic could come into the starting side after scoring off the bench against Czechia, while Ante Budimir of Osasuna could also feature in attack.

Josip Juranovic and Martin Erlic were late withdrawals before the Czechia win.

Croatia Possible Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Dominik Livakovic; Josip Stanisic, Luka Vuskovic, Joskov Gvardiol, Ivan Perisic; Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic; Mario Pasalic, Luka Sucic, Marco Pasalic; Igor Matanovic
