For the Thunder, a DLS target of 140 was set from 16 overs but it wasn’t smooth sailing with Matt Gilkes once again out early, scoring just 2 runs. Sam Billings steadied the ship in place of David Warner who was out injured and the Thunder reached the total with 4 balls to spare.

It takes their record to 2-7 on the season and with a very poor Net Run Rate of -1.182 they are resigned to the bottom of the standings irrespective of the outcome of this final matchup.
