Best Bet
Race 6 No. 9 Ever So Ready
Ever So Ready produced some encouraging performances in Queensland last preparation, including a third on Soft ground at Eagle Farm in March.
The three-year-old returned this campaign with a third over 800m at Warwick before scoring second-up over 1015m at Grafton on September 21, defeating Kirra’s Sister by just under half a length in Class 2 company.
That form has held up well, with the sixth-placed runner from the race winning subsequently, while runner-up Kirra’s Sister and the seventh home both finished in the top three at their following starts.
The rise in distance should pose no issue for the son of Better Than Ready, who won over 1200m on debut at the Gold Coast last December and has already shown he handles both Good and rain-affected ground.
Richard Laming’s gelding jumps from barrier eight, but Matthew Palmer retains the ride after partnering him in both starts this preparation, and Ever So Ready looks well placed to record another victory.

Race 3 No. 5 Flaming Genesis
Three consecutive fourth-place finishes opened Flaming Genesis’ current preparation, including a solid return at Grafton.
His latest effort can be forgiven after he started at triple-figure odds in a 2400m metropolitan event at Eagle Farm on September 5, where he was slow to begin before racing wide and eventually working forward.
The five-year-old finds a much easier assignment dropping back to BM58 company, while the return to 2200m should hold no concerns given his previous form over staying trips.
Flaming Genesis has winning form on Soft ground and should also be suited on the forecast Good surface, while barrier two gives Yvette Lewis the chance to establish a favourable position.
Freshened since that Eagle Farm appearance, Daiki Chujo’s entire looks capable of improving sharply and doubling his career win tally.

Race 2 No. 6 Kirra’s Sister
Kirra’s Sister has attracted early support after placing in the top three at each of her past two starts.
The first of those came when runner-up to Ever So Ready over 1015m at Grafton on September 21, before she finished third in a 1000m BM66 at Ballina on October 4.
Stephen and Jordan Lee’s mare opened at $4.80 with Unibet Australia and has firmed into $3.
Stats Say
Trainer Kris Lees boasts a strong record at Grafton in 2026 and is represented by just one runner on Tuesday’s card.
That runner is So Fortunate, who lines up in the opening maiden over 1700m for Ben Looker.
The filly finished sixth on debut at Hawkesbury before improving to place third over 1506m at Port Macquarie last time, giving her solid claims stepping up in distance.
