One-Day Cup 2022
One-Day Cup Predicitons & Betting Tips
The One-Day Cup is the biggest 50 over competition in Australian cricket. The tournament itself sees the biggest teams in Australia come together and play each-other once each. The top two teams then head into the final, with the One-Day Cup trophy up for grabs.
50 over cricket is the middle-child of the current formats of the game. A One Day match usually takes around eight hours from start to finish, with both teams given 50 over (300 balls) to bat, and 50 over to bowl.
Teams only have a total of 10 wickets in their innings as they look to score as many runs as possible. The bowling team is only allowed to give each bowler a maximum of 10 overs, meaning at least five bowlers will have to bowl.
The 50 over game is an interesting blend of Twenty20 and Test cricket. The format is the shortest format and sees teams trying to smash the ball out of the park, while the latter is the longest format, usually played over five days. 50 over cricket sees batsmen looking to time the ball from the start, rather than trying to smash it out of the park of defend every ball from the start.
