The 2027 Cricket World Cup will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with each of the 14 nations at the expanded competition desperate to make their mark on the biggest tournament in One Day International Cricket.
Ahead of the latest iteration of the competition in 2027, India are the favourites at $3.50 with Elitebet, but can they finally come good on being the favourites for a 50 over competition after falling at the final hurdle in their own tournament in 2023?
| 2027 Cricket World Cup Winner | Odds |
|---|---|
| India | $3.50 |
| Australia | $4.50 |
| England | $6.50 |
| South Africa | $7.00 |
| New Zealand | $9.00 |
| Pakistan | $11.00 |
| West Indies | $15.00 |
| Sri Lanka | $17.00 |
| Rest of the field | $34.00+ |
India are the early favourites to win the 2027 Cricket World Cup at $3.50 with Elitebet after enjoying a near-perfect run during the tournament in 2023. However, after nine wins in the group and a win over New Zealand in the semi-finals, India buckled under the pressure as Australia ($4.50) secured the trophy courtesy of a sparkling century from Travis Head.
Australia went through most of the tournament as an underdog, and it will not worry them that they are $4.50. England, who were eliminated in the group-stage in 2023, are available at $6.50, while South Africa ($7.00) and New Zealand ($9.00) are also among the favourites.
Pakistan ($11.00) were disappointing at the 2023 World Cup, enduring elimination at the group-stage despite boasting an impressive batting and bowling lineup. West Indies ($15.00) will be desperate to make amends after missing out on a place in India in 2023.
The 2027 World Cup will be incredibly interesting as a number of narratives are forming already. Despite making the final, India underachieved as the best batting and bowling lineup at the tournament failed to come good when it mattered most.
Australia remain the best side in the history of the World Cup, and they will relish the chance to make it two in a row. Meanwhile, England know they have to be far better and will be looking for revenge after their woeful performances in India.
New Zealand look to be building well, while South Africa have a team that is continually improving.
With a number of sides that could potentially lift the trophy in 2027, this one could be the most exciting and unpredictable World Cup ever.
