Iga Swiatek vs Belinda Bencic Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Swiatek to extend dominant record over Bencic

Swiatek has come through the other end of a difficult 12-month period, rising back to No. 2 in the world and making the quarter-finals in 13 of her 16 tournaments this year, capturing three titles - including her first Wimbledon crown. The Pole has already captured silverware this Asian swing in Seoul and will be hoping to double down in Wuhan, where she's competing for the first time. Bencic meanwhile has won back-to-back matches just once since going down to Swiatek in the Wimbledon semi-finals and will be hoping to find some form again towards the end of what has been a great season.

However, I don't see Bencic troubling Swiatek here - she could only manage two games in that Wimbledon semi-final, while Swiatek is coming off a 6-1 6-1 victory in her Wuhan opener. I'm backing the second seed in a relatively routine encounter.

Swiatek leads 4-1, demolishing Bencic 6-2 6-0 in 72 minutes in the Wimbledon semi-finals earlier this year.

Swiatek has notched up 60 wins to just 14 losses in 2025, climbing back to No. 2 in the world and recapturing some of her best tennis.

It's been a tremendously consistent season for Swiatek - she's made at least the quarter-finals in 13 of her 16 tournaments, while she's taken home titles at Wimbledon, Cincinnati and Seoul over the last few months.

Still, there's been some disappointing losses sprinkled in that period - Swiatek went down to Amanda Anisimova in the US Open quarter-finals, while she was bageled 6-0 in the decider by Emma Navarro in Beijing last week.

However, Swiatek responded brilliantly from that minor setback, opening her Wuhan campaign with a dominant 6-1 6-1 win over Marie Bouzkova.

It's been an outstanding season for Bencic - she's registered a 31-15 record and propelled herself back to the world's top 20 after ending 2024 outside the top 700 due to her maternity leave.

Bencic secured her ninth career title in Abu Dhabi earlier in the year, while she also made the Wimbledon semi-finals and Indian Wells quarters.

However, the Swiss hasn't been at her best since that Wimbledon loss to Swiatek, failing to make it past the second round of Montreal, Cincinnati and the US Open.

Bencic got back to some solid form in Beijing last week, beating Katie Volynets and Priscilla Hon before pushing Coco Gauff in a three-set defeat, while she defeated Donna Vekic and benefitted from a retirement by Elise Mertens to advance into the Wuhan R16.
