Man City will step into one of the most hostile footballing environments in Premier League history at Anfield on Sunday and I'm tipping the visitors to embrace the hate and come away with all three points against a Liverpool side who are yet to convince this season.
Of course City being found guilty of serious breaches of the Premier League's financial rules has dominated the headlines over the international break, but now football will do the talking and it will be interesting to see how Enzo Maresca and his side handle what is sure to be frosty receptions in the foreseeable future.
It's not as if this fixture needed any hyping up, but now there's an extra layer of intrigue surrounding Sunday afternoon's showdown.
On the park, City have been the superior side to begin the season - they arrive at this clash on a seven-game winning streak in all competitions and three points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.
Liverpool meanwhile are yet to fire on all cylinders and have been held to a share of the spoils by Nottingham Forest and Fulham in their last two league games at Anfield.
City have enjoyed success in this matchup lately and more fuel has been added to the fire ahead of this one.
