The New Zealand Breakers are tipped to keep their NBL27 clash against the Perth Wildcats close at RAC Arena, with a +3.5 points advantage seen as a strong value. Despite a challenging travel schedule, the Breakers have improved to 3-2, lead the NBL in three-point shooting at 42.3%, and recently pushed Perth in a narrow defeat. Player prop Parker Jackson-Cartwright, who has made four or more three-pointers in four consecutive games, is also highly rated for this contest.

Perth Wildcats vs New Zealand Breakers NBL27 Expert Tips

The New Zealand Breakers +3.5 are tipped to keep things close against the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena on Saturday night, despite the demanding travel schedule facing the visitors.

Perth are 3-1 after playing their first four games at home and have already beaten New Zealand 97-93 at RAC Arena this season. That four-point result gives us confidence in taking the points with a Breakers team that has since improved to 3-2 and leads the NBL in three-point shooting at 42.3%.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright 3+ three-pointers is the player prop. PJC has made at least four threes in four consecutive games after failing to land any shots in the first game of the season. He also attempted nine shots from beyond the arc in the Breakers' earlier visit to Perth, giving him the volume we want for the 3+ line.

The schedule is the concern for New Zealand. The Breakers are entering another difficult stretch away from Auckland, while Perth need to maximise an incredible opening schedule featuring 11 of their first 13 games at home before spending much of the following stretch on the road.

Back New Zealand +3.5 to again push Perth deep at RAC Arena, with Parker Jackson-Cartwright 3+ three-pointers also tipped after his outstanding start from beyond the arc.

Key Stats

  • Perth beat New Zealand by just four points at RAC Arena on 26th September.
  • New Zealand lead the NBL in three-point percentage at 42.3%.
  • Parker Jackson-Cartwright has made 4+ threes in four consecutive games.
  • PJC attempted nine three-pointers in the previous meeting with Perth.

Perth Wildcats vs New Zealand Breakers Head to Head

Perth lead the all-time series 53-37 and have now won six straight against New Zealand. The Wildcats have already beaten the Breakers twice in 2026, but both were competitive, including the 97-93 result at RAC Arena earlier this season when Perth recovered from an 11-point deficit.

Perth Wildcats Form

Perth have recovered brilliantly from their opening-night loss to South East Melbourne, winning three straight to move to 3-1.

Their latest was a 92-88 win over the Phoenix, with Kristian Doolittle producing 22 points, seven rebounds and eight assists while Elijah Pepper added 25 points. The Wildcats are shooting 36.8% from three, second-best in the NBL, and have found ways to win despite their availability issues.

Lual-Acuil Jr is unlikely to return on Saturday due to his calf injury, while Perth are also taking a cautious approach with Knight after illness disrupted his arrival.

New Zealand Breakers Form

New Zealand have won consecutive games to improve to 3-2, including an impressive 88-72 road victory over Adelaide last time out.

The Breakers shot 13-of-26 from three against the 36ers, continuing a remarkable start from outside that has them shooting an NBL-best 42.3%. Parker Jackson-Cartwright was outstanding in Adelaide with 27 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists.

Travel now becomes a major part of New Zealand's next stretch, but they have already shown they can compete at RAC Arena this season. With +3.5 points available, another tight contest looks the better angle than asking the Breakers to win outright.

Verdict

Back New Zealand +3.5 to again push Perth deep at RAC Arena, with Parker Jackson-Cartwright 3+ three-pointers also tipped after his outstanding start from beyond the arc.
