Mercure Kooindah Waters Ladies In The Lead Maiden Plate Tips (Race 1)

Wyong Best Bet - Race 1 No. 3 Buongiorno

A promising Hawkesbury debut gives Buongiorno a strong platform for his second career start.

The New Zealand-bred colt had gained plenty of experience through the trials beforehand, including a third over 1000m at Hawkesbury, before tracking the speed and finishing third on wet ground at the same venue.

He was beaten just over two-and-a-half lengths over 1500m and the rise in distance here should suit, while that debut form has already been franked with the runner-up and eighth both winning next time.

The son of Hello Youmzain should also have taken plenty from the race-day experience for the John O'Shea and Tom Charlton stable.

Barrier placement is the main query, but he showed enough early speed on debut to offset the wide draw and looks capable of breaking through at start two.

Five Star Day Spa 3yo Maiden Plate Tips (Race 4)

Wyong Roughie - Race 4 No. 10 Simple Pleasures

There was clear improvement from Simple Pleasures when she resumed over 900m at Newcastle and finished fifth after having little luck in the straight.

The filly had debuted with a last-of-nine finish at Warwick Farm in April, but the latest run was much more encouraging after she was held up and forced to switch wider when trying to build momentum.

Despite finishing nearly five lengths from the winner, the daughter of Extreme Choice gave the impression there is more to come and her breeding suggests rain-affected ground should not be an issue.

The step back up in distance looks suitable and she is likely to be ridden patiently again.

An inside draw is another positive and the Mark Minervini-trained filly could surprise at odds in just her third career start.

Wyong Value Bet - Race 7 No. 14 The Biv

The Biv remains lightly raced after just five starts and returns here following a fourth over 1100m at Goulburn in April.

Her maiden victory came fresh over 1000m at Orange on Soft ground the previous month, where the daughter of Bivouac scored by just over half a length.

That first-up success followed a break after two Hawkesbury starts in October 2025, so she has already shown an ability to perform well fresh.

A recent Gosford trial win in testing conditions was encouraging and suggests she is ready to make an impact on return.

Brad Widdup's stable has been going well of late and the trainer also boasts a strong record at Wyong this year, giving The Biv each-way appeal in a competitive BM64.

Wyong Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Don’s Party

Wet-track form has become a clear strength for Don's Party this preparation after the gelding resumed with an impressive victory at Wyong last month.

The five-year-old scored by more than two-and-a-half lengths over 1300m on a Soft 7, settling back before finishing strongly.

He then stepped to 1500m at Hawkesbury and again ran well, finding only subsequent Canterbury winner Pierro Lad too good.

The rise in distance should hold no concerns given he has previously placed over the trip, while the inside draw should help him secure an economical run.

Grant Buckley takes the ride for the first time and Don's Party looks well placed to add a second career win.
