However, there has been a significant improvement in their attacking output across the second half of the season. The Magpies have averaged 97.0 points across their past five and have found more avenues to goal than they possessed earlier in the campaign.
Their Round 24 loss to Brisbane was ugly defensively, conceding 159 points, but there were still positives with the ball. Collingwood kicked 96 points, while Jordan De Goey had 32 disposals and two goals and several younger players continued to contribute.
De Goey becomes particularly important in that scenario. Nick Daicos will attract enormous attention, leaving De Goey with opportunities to impact both around stoppage and forward of centre.
