Strathalbyn Tips August 30
Sportsbet Fast Form Maiden Plate Tips (Race 1)
Strathalbyn Best Bet - Race 1 No. 1 Golden Cloud
Two promising efforts as a juvenile give Golden Cloud a solid platform for his return, with the gelding finishing third in both starts at two.
The latest came over 1200m at Morphettville in late March, where he drew barrier nine of 10, was ridden cold and finished strongly to be beaten less than a length.
His debut three weeks earlier at Murray Bridge was also encouraging, while the form from that Morphettville race has stacked up nicely, with the winner scoring at Listed level and the second, fourth and sixth all winning subsequently.
The son of Russian Revolution is a half-brother to multiple winners in wet conditions, so the forecast Heavy ground should not pose too many concerns.
Jake Toeroek has partnered Golden Cloud in both previous starts and, from a good draw, the pair look well placed to resume with a win.

Strathalbyn Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Tour De Moon
Wet-track form is already on the board with Tour De Moon, who broke his maiden at Oakbank in March during a preparation that produced several solid efforts.
The five-year-old had just one trial before resuming over 1000m at Murray Bridge earlier this month, where he was ridden with restraint and beaten a little over a length.
He finished that race off strongly and shaped as though the extra distance here would suit, having had only one previous attempt at the trip.
The Murray Bridge form has also held up reasonably well, with the sixth-placegetter winning at Morphettville Parks next time.
With improvement expected second-up and Heavy ground looking suitable, Tour De Moon can take another step forward and double his career tally.

Strathalbyn Roughie - Race 5 No. 7 Kushan Khanivale
A solid record at Strathalbyn gives Kushan Khanivale some appeal at a bigger price, with four top-three finishes from six previous starts at the circuit.
The latest of those came in May when he finished third in a similar race on a sound surface.
His best effort since was a narrow second over this distance on Heavy ground at Balaklava, before a below-par seventh at Murray Bridge last time.
Grant Young's gelding has been freshened since that outing, while Jason Holder retains the ride after partnering him in his past two starts.
He is likely to be ridden with restraint again and, while consistency is not his strongest asset, Kushan Khanivale has enough in his favour to be competitive at odds.

Strathalbyn Value Bet - Race 7 No. 10 Unwind
There was plenty of merit in Unwind's third over this track and trip two starts ago, where she was ridden cold and finished just over two-and-a-half lengths from the winner in Benchmark 56 company.
The six-year-old then dropped back to 1400m at Murray Bridge and finished fourth, although she raced closer to the speed and was beaten more than seven lengths.
While she has placed on Heavy ground previously, any drying of the track would likely enhance her chances.
The New Zealand-bred mare gets in with a favourable weight, while Kayla Crowther retains the ride after partnering her in each of her past three starts.
An inside barrier is another positive and, with a headgear change applied, the Kristi Evans-trained mare rates as value to record the second win of her career.
