Just Jenni is the most lightly tried galloper in the field and the four-year-old could be the one with the most upside.

Spelled after a Bendigo breakthrough at her second start in May last year, the daughter of Justify resumed with an impressive run at Cranbourne on December 5.

Ridden ice cold over 1200m, she warmed up late and recorded the fastest closing sectionals of the race and the third-fastest last 400m of the meeting.

She briefly appeared to hit a flat spot at Sandown last time, but again finished strongly with the second-fastest last 400m and 200m of the race.

1600m is worth a try off that metro performance.

Ability was evident in Rhia’s early lead-up work, reflected in the short starting prices across her first four appearances.

Despite burning punters during that period, a drop in trip for a Wangaratta maiden saw her break through last July before heading to the paddock.

There was money for the three-year-old when resuming at Mornington and she duly delivered with a soft victory.

The Freedman-trained runner has since moved well in a subsequent jump-out, indicating she has come on again.

The form from her December 5 win has been franked by runner-up Du Clisson, who has bolted in at her next two starts, and while this is not a weak BM62, she looks well placed for a hat-trick.

Seymour Value Bet - Race 8 No. 9 Thunder Hawk

Thunder Hawk bookended her last campaign with victories and was specked in betting at long odds when resuming at Cranbourne on December 5.

She performed admirably for a third-place finish in a race won by Gellhorn, who completed a double that day.

That form received a further boost when the runner-up Stage ’N’ Screen took out a metro BM66 at Sandown on Boxing Day.

The daughter of American Pharoah is back in distance after a 1600m run at Flemington that is worth forgiving.

Thunder Hawk was held up at key stages in that December 31 appearance, where she was a single-figure chance and this is more suitable.
