Gawler Best Bet - Race 2 No. 4 Halliwell
The daughter of Niagaraa has demonstrated good form since joining the Jessica Tzaferis stable from Michael Hickmott earlier this season.
Halliwell has shown improvement with racing, having resumed with a good fifth-place finish in a ten-runner 1200m maiden at Murray Bridge in May.
The mare raced on a Good 4 track that day, but has since proven that wet conditions are no issue, including when third over 1100m on a heavy 8 here next time.
The form of that contest looks solid enough, with the winner placing in a Class 1 next time and the second going on to break her maiden here earlier this month.
She raced from the front in her first two starts for this stabl, but was ridden with more restraint from barrier nine when placing second at Mount Gambier last week.
While that Mount Gambier effort came over 900m, she should have no issues stepping back up in distance and an inside alley is a positive in this contest.

Gawler Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 5 All Too Mysti
Richard & Chantelle Jolly’s filly has shown good form in the main this prep, including when resuming with an impressive maiden win at Morphettville Parks.
The three-year-old came home nearly three-and-a-half lengths clear of her rivals when racing on a sound surface on that occasion.
While the step up to Listed company proved beyond her when last-of0seven at the same venue subsequently, she has registered some good runs in three starts since then.
Those efforts include a runner-up finish in a 1400m Class 2 handicap held on a Soft 7 surface at Morphettville Parks on her penultimate start.
The youngster went on to deliver a sixth-place finish when beaten just under three lengths in a 1540m Benchmark 66 handicap at Morphettville last time.
While yet to race on heavy going, that isn’t expected to cause an issue for All Too Mysti, who is suited by dropping in both distance and grade here.
Wolf Blass Adelaide Hills Wine Bar Hahndorf Benchmark 56 Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Gawler Roughie - Race 5 No. 7 Quanah
The son of Palentino recorded a solid effort when finishing fifth over 1100m at Murray Bridge in January.
That effort marked the gelding’s only start last prep and he has failed to make an impact in three starts on soft going this time around.
Those starts include a tenth-of-eleven via his most recent start in a Class 2 handicap held over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on June 28.
Notably, both of his previous wins have come on the forecast heavy ground, including when racing from the front in a maiden over 1100m here in July.
Quanah was making his debut that day andhe duly went on to complete a double when stepped up to 1250m at Morphettville Parks the following month.
Alana Livesey, on board for both of those wins, is set to ride for the first time since the gelding joined the Shayne & Chelsea Cahill team and they may prove up to surprising.
Wolf Blass Rascals Cup Benchmark 56 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Gawler Value Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Moana’s Fortune
The New Zealand-bred galloper is the least experienced runner in the field, with just six starts to his name.
His outings include a win at this venue, with the gelding coming home over six-and-a-half-lengths clear of his rivals in a maiden over this track/trip last month.
Moana's Fortune raced from the front when encountering a Heavy 9 surface for the first time that day, having previously delivered a solid fourth in a Class 1.
The son of Ocean Park has made just one start since that course success, finishing a solid third in a 2000m Class 1 at Bordertown just under three weeks ago.
The three-year-old again raced on a heavy surface when beaten just under five-and-a-half-lengths that day, while he has the distance and going to suit here.
Jason Holder rides for the first time here and his mount looks value to record a win number two.
