Doomben Tips March 28

Ladbrokes Racing Extras In Multi Class 3 Plate Tips (Race 3)

Doomben Roughie - Race 3 No. 2 Danxia

The New Zealand-bred gelding delivered some good efforts without winning in 2025, finishing fourth on four occasions.

Danxia returned to winning ways on his first start for current handler Colt Prosser over 1150m at Beaudesert last month.

The four-year-old produced a strong finishing effort to score by a narrow margin after settling fifth in an eight-runner event that day.

The son of El Roca competed at Benchmark 58 level on a Good 4 surface in that event, with the runner-up going on to win at the next start.

He followed up with another victory in a 1212m Class 3 handicap at Coffs Harbour just under two weeks ago and, while stepping to metro level, arrives in strong form with a 3kg claim and looks capable of completing a hat-trick.

Doomben Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Bundella

The five-year-old has recorded three wins from eight starts this season, including victories at his past two appearances.

The first of those came over 1200m in a Benchmark 65 at Eagle Farm last month, scoring by just over half a length.

The rise to 1200m suited that day, having previously finished fourth in a 1000m contest at the same venue three weeks earlier.

The sixth and seventh from that win have both scored since, and he followed up by completing a double at Eagle Farm in a Class 6 contest.

Tony Gollan’s runner has shown improvement with positive tactics and, with Chelsea Baker back aboard, Bundella looks well placed to extend the winning streak.

Doomben Value Bet - Race 7 No. 1 True Amor

The son of I Am Invincible is a dual winner this season, having resumed with a Benchmark 64 victory at Beaudesert in December.

That success came over 1200m by nearly five lengths, and he followed with two runner-up finishes.

Those placings included a narrow defeat in the 1300m Magic Millions Rising Stars event on the Gold Coast in January.

The four-year-old was below his best at Benchmark 78 level at Eagle Farm before being freshened and returning to win a Class 3 at this track on a Soft 5 surface.

With Courtney Bellamy retaining the ride and despite a wide draw, True Amor looks a value chance to build on that form.

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 15 Cindersea

The mare was a first-up winner at Ipswich this preparation and has remained in good form since.

She recorded back-to-back second-place finishes at Eagle Farm, including a narrow defeat over 1200m at Benchmark 65 level.

The four-year-old handled a rise in grade when again finishing second over 1000m at Benchmark 70 level two weeks later.

She returned to this track and distance earlier this month and led throughout to win a Class 3 by just under a length.

Cindersea handles wet ground, draws well, and with Michael Freedman’s strong strike rate at the track, looks well placed to go on with it.
