Pakistan saved a series whitewash against New Zealand on Wednesday by recording a three wicket win in Game 3 at McLean Park.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, Pakistan restricted New Zealand to 7/173 off their 20 overs thanks to a brilliant performance with the ball by Faheem Ashraf, recording 3/20 off his four overs.

Devon Conway top-scored for New Zealand with 63 off 45 balls and was well supported by man of the series Tim Seifert (35).

Pakistan opening batsmen Mohammad Rizwan lead the way for the away side as he anchored the innings, scoring 89 off 59 in a man of the match performance.

Both sides attention will now turn to their upcoming test series set to begin on Boxing Day.
