- Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers Frequently Asked Questions
Both the Strikers and the Scorchers have been underwhelming this season and have failed to find consistency with both bat and ball. In my opinion, Perth have been more off the mark than Adelaide, who have been playing better cricket as the season goes on.
The Strikers generally findsome batting somewhere in their order and will put up enough runs or chase down the Scorchers, who only managed 97 runs against the Sixers last time they played.
Adelaide will find the rope more than the Perth batsmen, hitting more fours than their opponents.
- The Strikers have won 2 of the past 3 matches against the Scorchers.

Perth Scorchers Form
Perth’s chances of a finals berth fell away with their fourth consecutive loss, this time at the hands of the Sydney Thunder’s bowlers, who simply embarrassed the batting order of the Scorchers.
Perth did everything they needed to, sending the Thunder in to bat and getting the key wicket of David Warner for just 8 runs. Sam Kostas proved to be a handful with a half-century but a total of just 158/7 was a very reachable mark for the Scorchers batters.
However, being under-fire all season for not living up to their usual hype, the Scorchers batsmen collapsed again, with Aaron Hardie’s 22 runs, the best of the order as they fell for a measly 97 runs in 17.2 overs.
Perth’s season has been their most disappointing in the past 5 years and will need a reshuffle in their lineup heading into BBL15.

Adelaide Strikers Form
The Strikers had begun to find a little form in the backend of the season with two wins in the past 3 before taking on the Sixers in what was a must win game, but final-ball heartbreak for Adelaide has likely ended their season.
The top-order for Adelaide had its problems as it has all season long but Ollie Pope (57 runs) and Alex Ross (48 runs) settled the Strikers from 3-35 to 4-132 with a 97-run partnership. Jamie Overton also put in a 32-run effort to give the strikers a defendable total of 182/5
The Strikers couldn’t get rid of dangerman Steve Smith (52 runs) but had a chance to keep their season alive, slicing through the middle order, claiming 3 wickets for 4 runs, however a 55-run 6th wicket for the Sixers kept them in the game and ended the Strikers season with one-ball remaining.
