Carlos Alcaraz vs Jack Draper Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Draper can trouble Alcaraz again in Rome

Alcaraz has won more matches than any player so far this season and is aiming for a first Rome Masters title, while Draper has experienced a meteoric rise since the US Open last year and can climb to a career-high No. 4 in the world if he emerges triumphant here.

Draper has actually won the last two completed matches between the pair and covered a +3.5 games line in all three of their completed meetings. Alcaraz's last two wins over Draper were via retirement, with the Brit conquering the Spaniard en route to the Indian Wells silverware in March. Draper has transitioned strongly to clay, finishing runner-up in Madrid and will fancy his chances to push Alcaraz once again here. Alcaraz technically leads 3-2, but Draper is up 2-1 when it comes to completed matches, including winning their most-recent clash 6-1 0-6 6-4 in the Indian Wells semi-finals.

Alcaraz heads into this contest with a 27-5 record on the season and chasing a third title of 2025 after previous silverware at Rotterdam and the Monte Carlo Masters.

It's been another dominant start to the clay season for Alcaraz - he's won 12 of his 13 matches on the surface, with his only defeat coming in the final of Barcelona against Holger Rune, where he then proceeded to withdraw from Madrid due to an injury in that match.

Still struggling with some inconsistency and concentration lapses, Alcaraz took care of Dusan Lajovic and Laslo Djere fairly comfortably, but struggled in his R16 clash with Karen Khachanov.

Alcaraz was cruising, but let Khachanov back into the contest, losing four straight games in the second set while leading with a break. The Spaniard regrouped for a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory and in doing so, completed his set of making at least the quarter-finals at all nine Masters 1000 events.

Draper has put together an outstanding season, coming into this encounter with a 22-5 record and at a career-high ranking of No. 5 in the world.

The 23-year-old has only lost a handful of completed matches since making the US Open semi-finals last year and has reached the final in three of the last five events he's entered.

Undoubtedly the highlight of Draper's season was his maiden Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells, where he beat Alcaraz along the way before crushing Holger Rune in the final.

Draper has carried his good form over to the clay, beating the likes of Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Musetti to reach the Madrid Masters final last week, going down in a tight contest to Casper Ruud.

The Brit continues to ride his momentum in Rome, easing past Luciano Darderi and Vit Kopriva before staging a fantastic comeback win over the dangerous Corentin Moutet, 1-6 6-4 6-3.
