Zverev received one of the toughest possible draws for his Madrid opener, ultimately overcoming Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a deciding set tiebreak - and now he comes up against a player who has won the third-most matches of anyone on tour coming into this contest.

Cerundolo has been a beast across the first four months of 2025 and has won three of his last six matches against top 10 opponents.
