It's a quarter-final showdown between two giant-killers - Fluminense knocked out Inter 2-0 in the previous round, while Al Hilal stunned Manchester City 4-3 in extra-time. It goes without saying both teams are enjoying an outstanding tournament and the winner of this clash will face either Chelsea or Palmeiras in the semi-finals, both of which should be winnable matches.
If recent form is anything to go by, this will be a tight affair. Fluminense are unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions, while Al Hilal haven't tasted defeat in their last nine. For me, Fluminense have appeared a bit more comfortable in their matches so far at the Club World Cup and offer good value as the slight underdogs. The Brazilian heavyweights have also kept a clean sheet in five of their last six games, so there's more value on offer for a win to nil.
Head To Head
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two teams, who are also the runner-ups of the last two Club World Cups in 2022 (Al Hilal) and 2023 (Fluminense)
Fluminense Form
Fluminense are on a brilliant run of form, going unbeaten in their last 10 outings in all competitions, winning seven and drawing three of those fixtures.
The Brazilian side have already exceeded expectations at this tournament, holding Dortmund to a 0-0 draw in the group stage before stunning Inter 2-0 in the R16.
Strong finishes are becoming part of the Fluminense makeup at this competition, with the team scoring three of their six goals after the 75th minute.
German Cano has made his return from a knee injury this tournament and the 37-year-old has been impressive, scoring a goal and registering an assist in his three appearances, including netting the opener in the win over Inter before Hercules sealed the victory in stoppage time.
Fluminense Team News
Fluminense will be without the services of left-back Renê, who is out suspended.

Al Hilal Form
What a tournament it's been for Al Hilal.
The Saudi Arabian side became the first club from Asia to defeat a European team at the FIFA Club World Cup when they shocked Man City 4-3 in the R16.
Al Hilal also secured a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the group stage, meaning they've now gone nine games unbeaten in all competitions, scoring 23 goals in that period.
Goalkeeper Bono has also been on fire all tournament, saving 85 per cent of the shots on target he's faced.
Up front, it's been Brazilian attacker Marcos Leonardo who has been the main man, scoring three goals in his last two matches.
Al Hilal Team News
Al Hilal are without captain Salem Al Dawsari and striker Aleksandar Mitrović for the remainder of the tournament.
- Goalkeepers: Mohammed Al-Rubaie, Yassine Bounou, Ahmad Abu Rasen, Abdulelah Al-Ghamdi
- Defenders: Kalidou Koulibaly, Khalifah Al-Dawsari, Ali Al-Bulaihi, Yasser Al-Shahrani, Joao Cancelo, Moteb Al-Harbi, Rayan Al-Ghamdi, Saleh Barnawi, Saud Haroun, Saad Al-Muthary, Ali Lajami, Hassan Altambakti, Hamad Al-Yami
- Midfielders: Renan Lodi, Khalid Al-Ghannam, Ruben Neves, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Musab Al-Juwayr, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Kaio Cesar, Mohamed Kanno, Salem Al-Dawsari, Mohammed bin Muhaysh, Abdulaziz Hadhood, Malcom, Abdulelah Almalki
- Forwards: Aleksandar Mitrovic, Marcos Leonardo, Turki Al-Ghumayl, Abdullah Al-Hamdan
Verdict
Should be a tight contest, but Fluminense look the more steady of the teams and have been incredibly tough to break down - backing the Brazilian side to edge this.
