It's one of the most one-sided H2Hs in recent times, with the Roosters winning 18 of their last 19 meetings with the Tigers dating back to 2011. With the Tigers on a six-match losing streak and without Jarome Luai (Origin) and Api Koroisau (concussion), along with promising hooker Tallyn De Silva following Lachlan Galvin out of the door, it's tough to see the joint-venture outfit preventing another defeat here.
A season that started with so much promise has swiftly turned into a nightmare, with the Tigers now battling to avoid a fourth consecutive wooden spoon. The Tigers' first half performance against an out-of-sorts Manly side last week was deadset some of the worst footy I've ever witnessed in my 36 years on this earth - no exaggeration. The shift of Adam Doueihi to five-eighth at least saw the Tigers score some points in the second half, but it won't be enough against the Roosters, even if the Chooks are without their five Origin stars.
I'm backing the Roosters in the Half-Time/Full-Time market ($1.65 odds at PlayUp compared to $1.44 at most other bookies), while the Tigers' inept attack should keep this clash Under 50.5 total points in a mini-SGM with the Chooks winning by a converted try. Despite a shift to the centres, Mark Nawaqanitawase can extend his superb try-scoring run.
- Roosters have won five of their last seven games
- Roosters have been leading at half-time in six of their last seven games
- Tigers are on a six-game losing streak
- Tigers have seen Under 50.5 points in four of their last five games
- Roosters have seen Under 50.5 points in four of their last five games
- Tigers have only beaten the Roosters once since 2011
- Under 50.5 points has landed in three of the last four meetings
- Mark Nawaqanitawase has scored nine tries in his last seven games
Head To Head
As mentioned, the Roosters have absolutely dominated the Tigers for the better part of the last 15 years, winning 18 of the last 19 encounters - including a most-recent 40-6 thumping in Round 17 last year, with Daniel Tupou scoring a second-half double.

After a tough start to the season, the Roosters have steadied, with Trent Robinson doing a great job of guiding his side up to sixth on the ladder.
The Roosters head into this contest having won five of their last seven games and they proved they can win without their Origin stars with a brilliant 42-16 victory over the Sharks back in Round 12.
Attack has become a strength for the Chooks - they also dropped 42 points on the Cowboys in their most-recent game before last week's bye, with Mark Nawaqanitawase and Billy Smith scoring doubles.

It's turned into a disastrous year for the Tigers, who are now closer to the wooden spoon than the top eight after a run of six defeats on the bounce.
You can't criticise the Tigers' effort - apart from that 64-0 loss to the Storm in Round 10, they haven't been blown out, but they simply don't have any spark in attack, especially without Luai.
The late absence of Luai was a huge blow for the Tigers against Manly last week and contributed to one of the worst 1st half performances I've ever seen. Things keep going from bad to worse at Tiger Town, with Tallyn De Silva leaving mid-week to join the Eels.
