Three starts as a two-year-old showed Around The Marx has some ability, including when placing third in a small field at Pakenham on his second appearance.
The youngster was beaten less than two lengths that day before backing up with a solid fifth over 1000m at Cranbourne at the end of March.
Spelled following that effort, he returned to public view with a solid third behind two subsequent winners in a Sandown jump-out earlier this month.
Barrier 10 is far from ideal, although he has shown enough early speed to suggest he can overcome the wide draw.
The son of Russian Revolution has been gelded since his most recent race start and, reunited with Jake Noonan, who was aboard at Cranbourne, he may be capable of surprising for the David and Coral Feek stable.

Tatura Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Baganov
A debut winner at Echuca in March, Baganov has produced several good efforts in defeat since, including at Bendigo just over three weeks ago.
Racing on a wet surface, the gelding was beaten just over a length in a Benchmark 62 handicap.
The son of Russian Revolution raced from the front over 1300m that day in a race that has since produced a subsequent winner from the sixth-place finisher.
Similar front-running tactics are expected here, with barrier five giving him every chance to find a prominent position, while his effort over 1443m at Geelong in May suggests the distance should pose no major issue.
Nick Ryan’s representative should appreciate the return to Good ground and, with Jackson Radley taking the ride for the first time, he is taken to return to winning ways.

Cory Parish knows the son of Wandjina well having partnered him at each of his past three starts, while the gelding has also demonstrated tactical versatility in previous campaigns.
Trained by Neil Girvan, Wambeen should have no major issues from barrier seven and, with the rise in distance in his favour, he rates value to strike second-up.

Sugar Schnapps ticks plenty of boxes here after taking a step forward second-up at Mornington earlier this month.
Contesting a 1200m handicap on a Soft surface, the mare finished fourth and was beaten just under three lengths at Benchmark 62 level.
The drop in grade is firmly in her favour, while the form from that race has been strengthened by the winner subsequently scoring in metropolitan company in Adelaide.
Quicker ground should hold no fears either, with the daughter of Per Incanto having finished runner-up at Kyneton in February on her only previous start on a sound surface.
Brad Rawiller’s mount draws favourably and, with the shorter distance also working in her favour, the New Zealand-bred mare is taken to record the second victory of her career.
