Best Bet
Race 6 No. 9 Kurithea
Kurithea showed good form in Queensland last preparation, including breaking her maiden at Doomben in January.
Competing over 1650m, the mare scored by just under half a length before returning from a spell at Hawkesbury earlier this month.
Dropped back to 1300m, she was beaten three-and-a-half lengths in a six-runner Class 1 handicap after being ridden cold and then hampered in the straight.
The four-year-old still performed well in the circumstances, staying on nicely for fourth, and she should take fitness improvement from that first-up effort.
The daughter of Maurice gets both a rise in distance and an inside barrier here, while her previous wet-track form is encouraging, and the Annabel and Rob Archibald-trained mare looks capable of doubling her career tally on her first visit to Taree.

Race 3 No. 6 Broken Wings
Broken Wings has performed well at this venue in the past, recording two third-place finishes from as many starts at Taree.
The latest of those came when resuming over 1000m in a Benchmark 58 at the end of last month, where she settled around midfield before finishing strongly to be beaten half a length at $13.
The daughter of Flying Artie should take improvement from that first-up run, while the inside barrier is another positive.
Although yet to win on wet ground, she has finished in the top three in four of five starts on rain-affected surfaces, so the prospect of a downgrade holds no concerns.
Christian Reith retains the ride, and Broken Wings looks well placed to go one better second-up.

Race 7 No. 4 Ellofadude
Ellofadude performed well from a wide barrier on his return to action, with Ben Blay's gelding finishing second at Gosford after being beaten just a length.
That effort has attracted early support, with Ellofadude backed into $2.10 with Unibet Australia after opening at $3.
Stats Say
Jockey Ashley Morgan has compiled an excellent record at Taree in 2026, heading into Tuesday's meeting with eight wins from 20 rides for a 40% strike rate.
He has three mounts on the card, including Prince De Vega in Race 5 after that runner finished third at Coffs Harbour first-up.
Morgan also rides Ciaron Maher's debutant Simmering in Race 4 before partnering the resuming Roses Imminente in the finale.
