Autumn Mystery will likely furnish over more ground as his second campaign wears on, with 1600m+ likely to be his preferred range when peaking and the extra 200m will suit in this second-up assignment.
His only other try in maiden company resulted in a third over 1000m at Mornington on debut, which he followed up with a placing at Flemington before contesting both the Blue Diamond Prelude and Blue Diamond Stakes.

Sandown Best Bet - Race 2 No. 5 Planet Red
He defied a big betting drift on debut when saluting at Pakenham, where Planet Red ran the fastest last 400m and 200m of the May 22 program and he was tipped out after that first race day appearance.
That form was franked on July 4 when an impressive Observer bolted in by five lengths at Sandown Lakeside and while the Godolphin colt then disappointed at Flemington, he was still an odds-on fav in a strong race.
Planet Red has moved well in two jump-out's ahead of his return, with a July 28 win before working to the line under a hold when second in a 800m jump-out and Icarian Dream (Group 3 winner) was pushed out to win that heat.

It'll be interesting to see what the betting does with the lightly raced Silver Magnate, a five-year-old who has been off the scene since taking out a Pakenham Synthetic maiden on debut in July last year.
The Grahame Begg-trained galloper could be anything going off that first race day performance, where he reeled them in with ease off a slow tempo despite spotting his rivals a start after missing the kick.
There was some depth to that maiden line up, with Divine Thoughts (city class) among the beaten brigade and with three solid jump-out's since the beginning of July, Silver Magnate appears forward enough for this fresh attempt.

Sandown Roughie - Race 6 No. 3 Autumn Storm
His winter return was delayed, with Autumn Storm predicted to resume in early July after completing his last lead-up trial on June 18 and the grey was a notable drifter leading into his Sandown resumption.
With a run now under the belt and with The Autumn Sun gelding having been mostly consistent in his prior starts, that fresh effort can be forgiven and he improved sharply second-up last time in.
After breaking through at Ballarat over this trip, Autumn Storm completed a double when stepping up to BM70 company at Geelong and he rounded that last campaign with back-to-back seconds at Moonee Valley.
