This mare is ticking over nicely, with three runs completed in winter and following an unlucky return at Northam on June 25, Millstee has recorded the fastest last 200m of both her second and third-up events.
In a 1200m Class 3 that's produced two subsequent winners, the five-year-old came from the rear via her last assignment at Pinjarra and that July 23 effort suggests that 1400m is well worth another try.
Her winning strike rate isn't flash, however, Millstee has been mostly competitive either side of a Belmont breakthrough last year and with a weight advantage over a few key threats in this line up, she's a good each-way chance.

She resumed with a solid run in a Saturday 58+ at Pinjarra on August 2 and there was a market push for Gi Gi Pops in that first-up tilt, which was a touch surprising given her exposed form is over more ground.
The Tim Crosby-trained galloper also appeared as if she'd need the hit-out fresh going off her July 28 trial, so improvement is predicted second-up on Wednesday, where she's well placed back to midweek company.
Gi Gi Pops was a second-up winner on a Soft 7 early last season and there's also good subsequent form, which includes a Belmont victory, while before a Listed showing in March, she placed in a handy race at Ascot.

Belmont Value Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Defending
There was merit to his August 2 return on a Heavy 8 at Pinjarra, where Defending settled back in the field via a 1200m event that was on-speed dominated (first six out were all among the first six home).
The gelding ran the fastest last 600m of the program when attempting his inside bid from back the field and with no prior fresh victories to his name, it was no shock that he peaked on that chasing effort late.
Along with having a fair second-up record, Defending is also adept on good and wet ground, while he's used to carrying decent imposts in better company, so he's quite well in here with 58kg after the claim.
