Goulburn Value Bet - Race 2 No. 3 Sea Level
Sea Level gained plenty of experience at the trials without threatening to win before making his debut last month.
Racing on a wet surface at Beaudesert, the gelding was ridden cold and stayed on well to finish fourth over 1150m at triple-figure odds.
He was beaten just over two-and-a-half lengths on that occasion, with the runner-up subsequently boosting the form by winning at Muswellbrook.
Sea Level should have derived plenty of benefit from that first race-day experience, while similar underfoot conditions are expected here with the track currently rated a Soft 5.
A wide barrier worked against him on debut, but the inside draw is a positive and, with the rise in distance expected to suit, he rates as a value chance for a stable that has enjoyed a strong record at Goulburn in 2026.

Goulburn Best Bet - Race 3 No. 4 Stormbringer
Stormbringer has demonstrated a clear affinity for Goulburn in the past, registering a win and two further top-three finishes from five starts at the venue.
Successful over 1200m at this level in July, he put two below-par performances behind him when returning to form with a third here last time.
A slow start proved costly on that occasion but, racing on a Soft surface, the gelding still caught the eye when finishing just under three-and-a-half lengths from the winner.
He has won over this distance in the past, including at Canberra, while his tactical versatility should help offset the wider barrier.
Keagan Latham was aboard last time and knows the gelding well, with the pair looking capable of recording their third win from five starts together.

He defied market weakness with blinkers applied for the first time on that occasion, and that gear is retained for Friday's assignment.
Alysha Collett stays aboard and knows the gelding well, while barrier five should allow the pair to settle in a favourable position.
Daylite shaped as though further would suit in his latest win and the extra 100m holds no concerns, with suitable underfoot conditions giving the Scott Collings-trained youngster every chance to complete the double.
Brad Writer Constructions Benchmark 58 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Goulburn Roughie - Race 7 No. 11 Miss Defy
Miss Defy has been safely held in all three starts this preparation, but there was more merit in her latest effort when making her debut for trainer Luke Pepper.
The mare contested a Benchmark 58 over 2010m on that occasion and finished fifth, beaten just over three lengths after producing an improved performance.
She raced on a firmer surface that day, but the wetter conditions expected here hold no concerns given she has already recorded two victories on Soft ground.
The six-year-old is entitled to improve again at her second start for the stable, and the wide barrier may not prove too much of an issue with Miss Defy expected to be ridden with restraint.
The drop back in distance is also no concern given she has won over this trip previously, and representing a trainer who performs well at Goulburn, she could be capable of causing an upset in the finale.
