Geelong Best Bet - Race 3 No. 2 Misty Whisper
Misty Whisper can just about go on with the job in Race 3 after showing plenty of promise through his first three starts.
The four-year-old was solid when runner-up over 1100m at Geelong at his second career start in a race that has since produced four subsequent winners, before stepping out off an 11-week break at Seymour recently and breaking through over 1200m.
That Seymour maiden has also produced four winners in the space of just a month, and Misty Whisper did plenty right despite drawing wide and settling back off a slow tempo.
He still had all the answers late, coming home five lengths faster than standard benchmark over the final 600m in an effort that suggested there is further upside to come.
The son of D'Argento draws wide again in the eight-horse field, but there should be sufficient tempo through runners such as Imperial Award, and Misty Whisper can be running over the top of them late.
Leading Teams BM66 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Geelong Favourite - Race 6 No. 10 Karren
Karren resumes from a long break but may simply have the class to take out Race 6 after producing an excellent piece of form on debut.
The Lloyd Kennewell-trained galloper made her first appearance at Sandown last December, where she led at a solid tempo and held on to defeat Sass Appeal by half a length.
That form has worked out exceptionally well, with Sass Appeal going on to win five races in succession, including the Group 2 Kewney Stakes over 1600m, while Thanks Gorgeous and Yellowjacket have since won or placed at Listed level.
It is fair to say that maiden has become one of the stronger form references in this field, and Karren returns with a series of trials under her belt, most recently finishing runner-up behind Plunger.
The four-year-old draws ideally in barrier four and, if she returns anywhere near the level she showed on debut, she should be hard to beat.

Geelong Value Bet - Race 9 No. 11 Touxlove
This looks a suitable assignment for Touxlove, who has been racing well on Heavy ground throughout the campaign and now gets another chance in Benchmark 66 company.
The five-year-old scored at Cranbourne three starts ago and comes off a fourth in a Benchmark 74 behind Buccleuch over 1400m, where she raced a touch keenly but still produced a strong performance.
She went more than eight lengths faster than standard benchmark on that occasion, which is four lengths better than the next-best last-start figure of any runner in this field and a stronger figure than any horse engaged here has produced in the past two years.
That makes her recent performance stand out strongly on the numbers, particularly with the Clayton Douglas-trained mare dropping back into a more suitable grade.
Touxlove draws much better this time in barrier five and should be able to settle closer in the run, giving her every chance to feature in the finish.
