Gawler Best Bet - Race 2 No. 2 Goldfields Grey
The son of D’Argento showed plenty of ability in five starts earlier this season, including when finishing runner-up over 1350m at Strathalbyn in the second of those appearances.
The four-year-old raced on a sound surface that day and backed it up with two fourth-place finishes over longer distances.
Those efforts included a defeat by just over two-and-a-half lengths in a 1400m contest at Morphettville Parks on Good ground.
Goldfields Grey has also shown he handles wet conditions and this circuit, with the second of those fourth-place efforts coming over 1500m here on his penultimate start.
The gelding has a valid excuse for his latest defeat after being found lame at Morphettville and, following two third-place Murray Bridge trials, he looks ready to break through under Jacob Opperman.
Irongate Australia Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)
Gawler Value Bet - Race 3 No. 6 Bewitching Missy
A jump-out winner at Morphettville in March, the filly performed well on debut at Oakbank subsequently.
Racing on a Soft 5 surface, the three-year-old was beaten just over a length into fifth over 1050m.
Bewitching Missy settled midfield throughout that contest and, while she lacked a turn-of-foot in the straight, it was still a promising effort from barrier eight in a nine-horse field.
The filly was well held when stepped up to 1250m for a metro maiden at Morphettville Parks next time, although she jumped at triple-figure odds there.
This looks a much easier assignment and, from a low draw with Rochelle Milnes aboard plus gear changes applied, Bewitching Missy appeals as a value chance.

Gawler Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Causeweluvadelaide
The mare has been in strong form recently, recording victories in two of her past three starts.
The first of those came when breaking through at the fifth attempt with a dominant three-length maiden victory at Balaklava in March.
Causeweluvadelaide overcame a slow start there before racing prominently and drawing clear over 1400m.
The mare bounced back from a below-par Balaklava performance next time by scoring comfortably over 1500m at this venue.
The daughter of Ilovethiscity led throughout from a wide draw on that occasion and should again race prominently from barrier six here.
Contract Engineering Benchmark 60 Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Gawler Favourite - Race 5 No. 3 Aitch D’Amico
The seven-year-old has been racing consistently without winning so far in 2026, recording six top-four finishes from eight starts.
Aitch D’Amico finished fourth over 2000m at Murray Bridge on his penultimate appearance after working from a wide barrier in Benchmark 62 company.
The gelding then improved again when runner-up in a 2014m Benchmark 66 metropolitan contest at Morphettville.
While both of those efforts came on Good ground, the son of Artie Schiller owns winning form on Soft tracks and has also placed at this circuit previously.
Aitch D’Amico also produced a solid fourth over 2150m at Oakbank three starts back and, from a favourable draw under Dylan Caboche, the gelding looks capable of returning to winning form.
