It was a disappointing opening performance from Portugal as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Congo DR. Unsurprisingly, there was controversy surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, who's lack of movement undisputedly - in my eyes - holds this Portuguese team back from realising their true potential. It's obvious for anyone to see that there's friction between Ronaldo and some of his teammates, but the reality is Roberto Martinez is too scared to drop him to the bench and utilise him as a substitute, where he'd be far more effective at 41 years of age.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan made their World Cup debut against Colombia, but they were decidedly second-best and went down 3-1. The White Wolves didn't have a single touch inside the opposition box in the first half and have only registered three shots on target across their last two games. With this in mind, it's a great chance for Portugal to restore some confidence and win this game to nil.
I'm also going to back Ronaldo in for 5+ total shots. His ego won't allow him fade away in this game and he will be trying to fire off shots at every possible moment. Pedro Neto has been in great form lately and looks good for another goal or assist. Uzbekistan - while very limited - are tough defensively and haven't been blown away for a while now, so a correct score of 2-0 appeals.

Joao Neves opened the scoring after six minutes following good lead-up work from Pedro Neto, but that was as good as it got for Roberto Martinez's side. Ronaldo played the entire 90 minutes, but remains without a World Cup goal since Matchday 1 at Qatar 2022.
