A strong support card has been assembled outside of the two Group 1's and our preview for all nine races is included below.
Race 1 - 11:43AM The Star Class 6 Handicap Tips (1600m)
Best: 8. Anemacore. His two worst defeats have both been at 10 furlongs and 1400m-1800m is his right range.
Anemacore drops back in trip after contesting the Group 3 Chairman's, while coming down in grade is also a plus.
He was a month between runs two back at 1400m before going straight to 2000m, so this set-up is more favourable.
Value: 6. Space Age. The gaps between runs over this prep suggests that Space Age may have had some issues.
His two Australian victories have both come on heavy tracks, while they've been off 18-day and 14-day spaces.
Now with a fortnight turnaround and an honest last run completed, there's still room for Space Age to improve.
Race 2 - 12:18PM Kilcoy Global Foods BM78 Handicap Tips (1400m)
Best: 14. Winsome Star. Prior to a short break, Winsome broke a big drought over this track/trip in style on March 22.
There were excuses as a beaten fav via his May 17 return, where he was hampered early and checked in the straight.
Switching to a bigger Eagle Farm circuit favours Winsome Star, albeit there's arguably more depth to this BM78.
Value: 1. Redford. This is a big drop in grade for Redford, who was well-held at Listed level first-up on May 10.
It's a sharp weight rise, he had 60kg and gave weight to most rivals when taking out the Magic Millions Rising Stars.
Redford is a lightly raced four-year-old with a decent strike-rate and he's the least exposed runner in this field.
Race 3 - 12:53PM Living Turf Queen Elizabeth II Cup Tips (2400m)
Best: 11. Strathtay. This Chris Waller-trained galloper has been racing well without favours and a return to 2400m suits.
2400m is his ideal trip, which the form backs up and he'll only strip fitter from his fourth in the Chairman's Handicap.
Strathtay was 3200m back to 2000m there off a freshen-up and now from a kinder draw, he can settle closer.
Value: 7. Flying Bandit. Immediacy (fav) and Flying Bandit appear to be the most progressive horses in this lineup.
Flying Bandit is the more proven of that duo on wet ground and this four-year-old is equally adept on firmer going.
He ate up a strong 2000m in the Wagga Cup and it'll be interesting to see what he does in his first try at 2400m.
Race 4 - 1:28PM Sky Racing Lord Mayor's Cup Tips (1800m)
Best: 1. Tavi Time. Soft ground is no issues for the talented Tavi Time, but he's failed in both heavy track attempts.
He atoned from a flat second-up run when taking out the Scone Cup last start and the extra 200m won't hurt.
Tavi Time is the most brilliant horse in this race and providing it's not a swamp, then he should put this lot away.
Value: 3. Bankers Choice. Bankers Choice is well exposed as a 45-start seven-year-old, but he's in career best form.
After an honest second to a Group 1 winner, he's won his last two and back in trip is fine given the freshen-up.
As a proven 2000m+ performer, Bankers Choice could be the most suited here if it turns into a testing 1800m.
Race 5 - 2:03PM Aquis Stallions Sires' Produce Stakes Tips (1400m)
Best: 1. Grafterburners. He was a cracking early bet at $10 when first-up in the Spirit Of Boom Classic a fortnight ago.
Grafterburners lost no fans in that third-place finish, where he covered ground and just peaked late as a result.
The obvious knock is that he draws wide again, but a bigger track suits and there's clearly improvement to come.
Value: 15. United States. This colt wasn't furnished enough over his first prep, but he did show early promise.
Chris Waller tipped United States out with a view to Brisbane and the youngster is on track for a JJ Atkins peak.
His late work was sound fresh and with the J-Mac/Waller factor, a market push at double figure odds won't shock.
Race 6 - 2:38PM Mullins Lawyers Fred Best Classic Tips (1400m)
Best: 2. Angel Capital. On stable debut for Chris Waller is Angel Capital and he was held together via his last trial win.
He's another on weather watch for Saturday, as the son of Harry Angel has been more effective on firmer tracks.
Angel Capital is unbeaten fresh, which includes stylish first-up victory in February and this event looks weaker.
Value: 7. Boomtown Boss. I wouldn't be sacking Boomtown Boss off his Queensland Guineas performance.
A notable drifter in that Group 2, the gelding was back and covering ground, while coming back to 1400m is a plus.
He impressed with back-to-back wins when opening the campaign and the last of those was over this track/trip.
Race 7 - 3:13PM Eva Air Kingsford Smith Cup Tips (1300m)
Best: 11. Kimochi. She can be forgiven for her last start failure when third-up in the All Aged Stakes, as Kimochi pulled up lame in both the off-foreleg and near-hind leg.
The Gary Portelli-trained mare has been very honest over the journey and she recorded a much-deserved Group 1 win deep into her last campaign.
Kimochi beat a tidy field in that Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes triumph, with Another Wil, Southport Tycoon, Charm Stone, Jimmysstar and War Machine among the beaten brigade.
After catching the eye late over five furlongs on return, Kimochi was brave in the TJ Smith Stakes, where the four-year-old stuck on despite a wide run.
Next Best: 10. Joliestar. If you swap her run with Jimmysstar, then Joliestar arguably wins the All Aged Stakes and she's been kept on the fresh side for this assignment.
Sunshine In Paris and Antino (subsequent Group 1 winners) have both been produced from the All Aged Stakes, so she brings the best form for the Kingsford-Smith.
The Chris Waller-trained mare is often effective fresh (she was quiet in a recent trial), although the threat of rain later in the week is a negative.
With the predicted conditions and no fat in the early odds, there's isn't a need to shop early with Joliestar, but a saver can be placed closer to the jump.
Value: 2. Private Eye. This Joe Pride-trained galloper is as capable as any of his rivals in the Kingsford-Smith Cup field and the seven-year-old is a proven fresh performer.
With the veteran racing into early December and off a long spring campaign, Private Eye missed the autumn carnivals in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Every run will count from here on with the seven-year-old and with three nice trials completed in Sydney, Private Eye will be ready to roll fresh.
At the top level, he's generally been more effective on firmer ground, although the gelding did bolt in on a Soft 7 last prep when recording his only spring victory.
Race 8 - 3:52PM Ladbrokes Queensland Derby Tips (2400m)
Best: 5. Beau Dazzler. He was terrific first-up in a fast-run Queensland Guineas and that fresh effort left the colt flat second-up when contesting the Group 3 Rough Habit Plate.
Beau Dazzler still wasn't disgraced in that key lead-up, where the youngster picked up a little late after looking well beaten and he clearly needed that run.
The Sears-trained galloper peaked third and fourth-up last campaign when completing a Grand Prix and Eagle Way double (both races at Eagle Farm).
His main rivals are mostly deep into their preps and they've also done plenty of travelling, whereas this Queenslander still has improvement to come.
Next Best: 3. Statuario. Arguably the most talented horse in this field is Statuario and the grey is looking to atone from a runner-up finish as fav in the South Australian Derby.
The winner of that 2500m Adelaide feature (Femminile) got the saloon passage and cashed in, while Statuario was left with too big of a task.
He was a stylish winner two starts back and that form through has stood up through both second and third, which includes Litzdeel (subsequent SA Fillies Classic winner).
It has been somewhat of a spaced out prep for Statuario, who was a month between runs in the South Australian Derby and he held form deep into his first campaign.
Value: 12. Saint Emilion. While he isn't necessarily kicking the door down, Saint Emilion is ticking over fairly and his two recent performances in Adelaide were both pass marks.
The prep didn't begin well, as Saint Emilion was gelded following a return flop in the CS Hayes and he's completed three runs since the ultimate gear change.
His class is questionable, however, the Ciaron Maher-trained three-year-old is likely to run out a strong 2400m and he's got a staying run under the belt.
Saint Emilion settled off midfield in what was honest last start effort in the South Australian Derby, but he can land closer to the speed under Tim Clark.
Race 9 - 4:29PM Magic Millions Helen Coughlan Stakes Tips (1200m)
Best: 2. Infancy. At Randwick, Infancy landed the cash for us first-up at decent odds and this race in no harder.
She beat Commemorative in that success and the Godolphin mare was good in Group 1 company either side of that.
Infancy didn't let down second-up on a Heavy 8, although she should've won her only previous try on heavy ground.
Value: 5. Bubba's Bay. She has no fresh wins, but the mare has two wins and two placings from four second-up runs.
The five-year-old has won a trial since her Hawkesbury resumption and her last nine win have come in Queensland.
Bubba's Bay loves Eagle Farm, with five wins and a third from six starts here, and her 1200m record is excellent.
