The Melbourne Stars took their second straight win of the season with a 5 wicket victory over cross-town rivals the Renegades hitting the target with 2 balls to spare at the MCG on Saturday.

The Stars were set a reachable total of 169 by the Renegades who were sent in to bat first with the middle order picking up some momentum. Veteran Peter Siddle was the man to break the partnerships picking up 2 wickets and a run out through his 4 overs for 9 runs a pop. Joel Paris also took 2 for a stingy 5.75 economy rate.

Ben Duckett was once again amazing with the bat in hand hitting 67 off 49 balls and now sits 5th in the Runs Total for the BBL14 season with 202 runs from 5 games. It will be over a week since the Sydney Sixers last played a match with their most recent clash against the Brisbane Heat being abandoned because of rain without a ball being bowled.
