Jannik Sinner is set to defend his ATP Finals title against Felix Auger-Aliassime. Sinner is currently on a 26-match indoor hardcourt winning streak and is favored to win. Auger-Aliassime, returning to the ATP Finals after a strong season with three ATP titles and a runner-up finish in Paris, will challenge Sinner, especially after pushing him in their recent encounters. Despite Auger-Aliassime's impressive form, Sinner remains the favorite, but a competitive match with more than 18.5 games is expected.

It's been another incredible year for Sinner, but he does come into this tournament behind Carlos Alcaraz in the rankings and needing to successfully defend his title to reclaim the top spot. However, Sinner is the deserved favourite to become just the fourth player this century to defend their ATP Finals title, behind Lleyton Hewitt, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. The Italian is currently riding a 26-match winning streak indoors and hasn't lost a match in these conditions since 2023, while he was supremely dominant at this tournament 12 months ago, not losing more than four games in a set on his way to the title.
Sinner is also on a ridiculous 25-match winning streak against top 10 players other than Alcaraz. That's what Auger-Aliassime is up against here. The Canadian, to his credit, has pushed Sinner in their last two meetings at the US Open (taking a set) and Paris Masters final (falling 6-4 7-6), but he's obviously still far off the pace. Auger-Aliassime is back at the ATP Finals for the first time since 2022 and he's put together a fantastic year to return to the top 10. I think he's a great chance to make it out of the Bjorn Borg Group and reach the semi-finals, but it will almost certainly be an opening loss here.
Head To Head
Sinner leads 3-2. Auger-Aliassime won the opening two meetings back in 2022, but Sinner has turned the tables, prevailing in all three of their 2025 encounters in Cincinnati, the US Open and Paris Masters.
Jannik Sinner Form
Sinner heads into this clash with a 53-6 record on the season, with his only loss in a completed match against someone other than Alcaraz coming against Alexander Bublik on the grass of Halle.
It's been another extraordinary year for Sinner - he successfully defended his Australian Open title and bounced back from his three-month suspension to win a maiden Wimbledon crown, defeating Alcaraz in the final.
However, there's been some tough moments too - most notably his five-set defeat to Alcaraz in the French Open final, along with a four-set loss to his main rival at the US Open.
Sinner has battled some physical issues over the last few months, retiring in Cincinnati and Shanghai and noticeably dealing with cramp in Vienna and Paris.
In saying that, it didn't stop Sinner winning the Vienna and Paris titles, bringing a 10-match winning streak into Turin.
Felix Auger-Aliassime Form
It's been a fantastic resurgent season for Auger-Aliassime - he's compiled a 48-22 record to break back into the top 10 and secure his spot at the year-end championships.
Auger-Aliassime has captured three ATP titles in Adelaide, Montpellier and Brussels, along with finishing runner-up in Dubai and the recent Paris Masters.
The Canadian also put together a superb run to the semi-finals of the US Open, taking top 10 scalps over fellow ATP Finals competitors Alex de Minaur and Alexander Zverev.
Auger-Aliassime dealt with the pressure of qualifying for Turin superbly over the last couple of months, winning that aforementioned title in Brussels before a great run to the Paris Masters final.
All up, Auger-Aliassime has won 22 of his last 23 completed matches against players other than Sinner, highlighting his dominance as of late.

Verdict
Sinner is virtually unstoppable on indoor hardcourt and players other than Alcaraz.
Auger-Aliassime is getting closer and I think he can push this Over 18.5 games and maybe even 20.5 - but Sinner is the deserved heavy favourite.
