The Tour de France 2023 gets underway on July 1, with the biggest event in cycling bringing huge interest for both watching and betting on the showpiece event.

Ahead of the event, Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar are the joint-favoruites at $2.10 with bet365, but who do you think will triumph in the Tour de France 2023?

The 2023 Tour de France will be the 110th edition of the event, and Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar arrive as the joint-favourites with bet365 at $2.10, with the former looking to defend the title he won in 2022.

Further out in the betting, you can back Jai Hindley ($15.00), Richard Carapaz and Mattias Skjelmose (both $29.00). The options in the betting to win outright then begin to lengthen considerably away from the favourites as Ben O'Connor, Enric Mas Nicolau (both $34.00), David Gaudu, Simon Yates and Adam Yates (all $41.00).

This year, the Tour de France will start in Bilbao and finish in Paris. The second stage will also be hosted in Spain, while the third stage will start in Spain and end in France.

The focus on who will win the Yellow Jersey is always massive, and it brings in a lot of betting interest. The 21-stage event over 3404km will be made up of eight mountain stages, six flat stages, six medium-mountain stages, one individual time-trial stage and two rest days.

Held over a total of three phases, the Tour de France will likely provide a real spectacle once again, with the betting interest huge. Wagering before the event begins can provide good odds if you are looking outside the favourites, while backing a favourite if they have a tough start but you think they will bounce back can also be a good strategy.

With so many options and so many stages to come, the betting odds will likely change a lot over the course of the event. Who do you think will win the Tour de France 2023?
