Scone Roughie - Race 1 No. 5 King Of Many
It's been a good winter so far for local Scone trainer Scott Singleton.
From 35 starters in June, he prepared 10 winners and eight seconds, with his first winner for July coming last week courtesy of the impressive Oakfield Utah at Tamworth.
Singleton saddles up King Of Many, a three-year-old who should continue to improve with racing, with a lack of experience evident on debut here on June 9.
The gelding had little idea about the racing caper that day, but there was still merit to the run considering, and Singleton clearly has some raw talent to work with.
While he lacked the turn-of-foot at Tamworth last week, it was an improved effort, and Izzy Neale, who has ridden four winners from 10 starters for the Scott Singleton stable this season, takes over with a nose roll applied.

Scone Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 3 The Cristal
The plain last effort at Newcastle was a head-scratcher, but the Archibald stable can bring one back from a bad run and she's since been freshened.
The Cristal faces a weak country BM58 after opening her campaign in a pair of provincial Class 1 contests.
The first of those produced an excellent third behind the handy Whoa Nellie, where she found the line with purpose over 1300m despite that trip being on the sharp side.
She's lightly raced for a rising five-year-old and may simply have been flat second-up off a decent break, with each-way odds available for Friday's assignment.
Promise was also shown last preparation, with seconds either side of a comfortable Goulburn maiden victory over Angel City, who was Saturday metropolitan placed in May, while third-placegetter Jagerbomb won two of his next three starts.
Vinery Class 3 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Scone Best Bet - Race 6 No. 3 Sobek
The Scott Singleton and Izzy Neale combination team up again with Sobek, who is looking to stretch his unbeaten run to four on Friday.
There's always been a good opinion of this talented three-year-old, who justified an odds-on quote when saluting on debut at Taree on January 12 despite covering ground.
He was spelled after that first race-day appearance before returning with a 900m Class 1 victory here on June 9.
His best performance to date came with a BM66 success on June 29, where he eventually found the front before showing a sharp turn-of-foot to power away late.
The closing sectionals were impressive for a galloper who set the speed, and while there's a touch more depth to this race and stepping beyond 1100m for the first time isn't straightforward, he's still a deserving favourite.

Scone Value Bet - Race 7 No. 2 Talkachino
There's some depth to this BM66, with Oakfield Utah heading the early market after his impressive third-up victory last week, while the resuming Tacitly also demands respect despite 1400m looking on the sharp side.
Talkachino has found career-best form during his seven-year-old season, recording back-to-back summer wins before tackling the Cowra Cup.
He was spelled after that January 18 defeat before returning with a terrific Dubbo victory on June 5, overcoming trouble to bolt in at big odds.
That June 5 race has worked out exceptionally well, with Talkachino defeating five subsequent winners.
Carrying 64kg and racing three-wide throughout, he lost no admirers when a brave third at Dubbo last start, and with a tidy drop in the weights for a horse who handles all conditions, he appeals each-way in the penultimate.
