Gosford Best Bet - Race 5 No. 12 Tigroni
There were some nice two-year-old form lines around Tigroni, who placed in her first three metropolitan starts before failing in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast.
The pick of those efforts came on debut when an unlucky second behind Fireball, who went on to win the Inglis Millennium before rounding out the autumn with a Group 1 victory in the Champagne Stakes.
She was brave after covering ground in that November 29 performance, while her Listed return over the Scone Carnival on May 16 was plain despite again covering ground throughout.
Off another freshen-up and a tick-over trial, the filly was only narrowly beaten when resuming on Heavy ground at Gosford on June 18, in a race that's already produced a subsequent provincial winner.
This looks no harder, and with improvement expected from that winter return, Tigroni gets every chance to go one better on Thursday.

Gosford Value Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Issy's Star
Issy's Star could simply be an out-and-out wet-tracker, with every placing of her career coming on rain-affected ground.
The pick of those performances came on Heavy tracks, including a dominant start-two victory at Coffs Harbour before a metropolitan placing at Canterbury last winter.
Her first preparation also opened with a debut second behind handy galloper Raging Force, who won his next three starts in town, including at Group 3 level.
Last campaign tapered off on firmer tracks after resuming with a runner-up finish on a Soft 6, while two encouraging June trials have her ready for this return.
Resuming in a BM64 against her own sex on suitable ground, Issy's Star looks well placed with Tyler Schiller taking the ride.

Gosford Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 4 I Am Brave
She was on the back foot immediately when resuming at Kembla Grange on June 20, with a slow getaway forcing I Am Brave to the rear in a very slowly run race.
Without ever threatening, she still worked home better than her sixth-of-eight finish suggests, recording the second-fastest final 400m of the meeting.
Young metropolitan rider Zac Lloyd takes the reins for this second-up assignment, and a cleaner getaway should allow her to settle much closer despite the wide draw.
There was intent to ride her more prominently in her lead-up trial, while she's always shown ability, beginning her career with a slick Soft 7 maiden win before another strong Heavy 8 performance in Midway company at Rosehill.
The penny didn't quite drop during a short spring campaign, but there's room for improvement on Thursday in what looks a fairly weak Class 1.
