Let It Beel showed plenty of ability in maiden company last year, finishing in the first three in four of his appearances.

The New Zealand-bred ended that campaign with a couple of short-priced defeats, including when beaten less than half a length into third over 1590m at Wangaratta in October.

That run came on a wet surface, and he resumed with a solid third over 1300m on the Hillside track here in February.

The three-year-old was beaten just over a length from barrier nine in a ten-runner field on that occasion.

Let It Beel built on that effort when breaking through for his maiden win at Cranbourne second-up and looks capable of completing a double.

Quayclean Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Sandown Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 12 Sketch

Sketch broke through for her maiden win over 1600m at Caulfield Heath in November.

That victory came on a Soft 6 surface, where the daughter of Brazen Beau scored comfortably after starting favourite.

She followed up with a credible fifth in the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield, beaten less than three lengths.

After a disappointing run at Mornington in December, Sketch was spelled before returning with improved jump-out work, including a Cranbourne win last month.

With Damian Lane booked and a strong strike-rate alongside the Freedman stable, Sketch looks well placed to return to winning form.

Sandown Best Bet - Race 6 No. 12 Runlikenencryption

Runlikenencryption has been in excellent form this preparation, finishing in the top four in all five starts.

The daughter of Encryption recorded a narrow win over this course and distance in a Benchmark 70 back in December.

That success came on a sound surface, where she overcame barrier eight to score narrowly.

She has since been beaten less than two lengths in each of her three subsequent runs, including a strong effort at Rosehill in February.

Runlikenencryption returns to a suitable setup here, with Craig Williams back aboard, and looks a leading chance to win again.

Stow Storage Solutions Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Sandown Roughie - Race 7 No. 11 Cadillac Sam

Cadillac Sam showed ability on debut when finishing sixth at Kembla Grange over 1200m in October.

That performance saw him beaten just over two lengths, but he failed to build on it at Warwick Farm when stepping up to 1400m.

After finishing last of nine in that event, the gelding was spelled by connections.

He has returned in improved form, including a close fifth at Pakenham before breaking through for a $19 maiden win over 1400m at Cranbourne.

Cadillac Sam remains open to improvement third-up and, despite a wide draw, can surprise stepping into this grade.
