Two encouraging barrier trials highlighted the ability of Noah’s Ark before he made his race debut last month.
The gelding finished in the top two in both hit-outs, with the latest of those a victory over 1000m at Halidon last month.
He debuted six days later and produced a strong finishing effort to be beaten less than a length when third over this course and distance.
Ridden cold over 1200m, the son of Redente found only two more experienced rivals too good on a Soft 5 and, while that race has yet to produce a winner, he should improve from the experience.
Brooke King retains the ride and, while his ability to handle the forecast Heavy going has to be taken on trust, Noah’s Ark is taken to break his maiden at the second attempt.

Murray Bridge Value Bet - Race 4 No. 6 Illustrates
Wet conditions have brought out the best in Illustrates across two starts for her current connections.
The five-year-old broke through for her maiden victory by just over half a length at Balaklava when resuming last month, racing prominently after a fast start over 1200m on a Heavy surface.
She proved that performance was no fluke when finishing a close second at big odds in a Benchmark 0-58 handicap on Soft ground at Strathalbyn two weeks later.
The daughter of Pride Of Dubai raced from the front that day, with Jemma Gutte, who has partnered her in both starts for the stable, retaining the ride here.
A wide barrier is a negative, although Ryan Hannemann has made a good start to his training career and Illustrates looks value to provide him with a winner from his 50th runner.

Murray Bridge Roughie - Race 5 No. 14 Togetherforever
Returning without a recognised trial last month, Togetherforever produced an encouraging first-up performance over 1050m at Balaklava.
The mare settled at the rear of midfield after jumping at $41 from an inside barrier and finished strongly to be beaten two lengths in fourth in the 12-runner field.
Linda Treloar’s representative caught the eye late in that return and should have derived a fitness benefit from the outing.
The daughter of Impending also boasts a solid second-up record, having won once and placed twice from four attempts.
While yet to win on Heavy ground, only two of her 21 starts have come in testing conditions and there was a valid excuse when she lost a plate in the latest of those, so she may be capable of surprising with Harry Grace aboard for the first time.
Carlton Draught Benchmark 56 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Murray Bridge Best Bet - Race 6 No. 6 Victory Queen
Two wins from her past three starts have Victory Queen arriving at Murray Bridge in excellent form.
All three of those appearances came on Heavy ground, with the mare returning to winning ways at Naracoorte last time after finishing fourth at Mount Gambier on her previous outing.
Racing over 1430m, Victory Queen came home just under a length clear of her nearest rival in that nine-runner event.
Successful at Benchmark 0-54 level that day, the runner-up has since won in lower grade, while the fifth home performed well in defeat at this venue a week ago.
An inside barrier is another positive and, with Sarah Rutten striking at 19% (11/58) at Murray Bridge in 2026, Victory Queen is selected to handle the rise in grade and register back-to-back wins.
