Teremoana Teremoana (11-0, 11 KOs) puts his unbeaten heavyweight record on the line against DeAndre Savage (11-1, 1 KOs) when the pair go together on the Gold Coast.

The pair clash at The Star Casino in Gold Coast on Wednesday, August 12, from 8.00pm AEST in a highly-anticapted heavyweight fight.

Teremoana is backed to maintain his unbeaten record with an early victory over Savage.

Teremoana - a former amateur standout - fought sporadically in his first few years as a professional, but he has stepped up his activity since late December 2024, and this will be his eighth fight in less than two years.

The 28-year-old Australian has not spent much time in the ring though – he enters this bout having reeled off six consecutive first-round knockout wins, with his most recent outing being the 74-second demolition of Bowie Tupou back in April.

He will now look to take his perfect professional record to 12-0, but standing in his way on August 12 is another big-hitting heavyweight Savage.

Ahead of the fight, Teremoana said: “Every single heavyweight in the world is on my radar. At the moment, the closest to me is Savage. So he is my priority on August 12.

"When people ask if I want to fight Justis, yeah, I want to fight Justis (Huni). Some people say he’s the best Australian fighter. Some people say that I am. I myself say that I am the best Australian fighter that’s ever been in Australia.”

The 35-year-old American has lived up to his surname by winning 11 of his 12 professional fights via knockout.

He enters this contest having rebounded from a decision defeat last year with a first-round knockout of Jefferson Troncoso to close out 2025.

But can Savage now stun the Australian fans with an upset win, or will Teremoana have his hand raised and strengthen his calls for a big domestic showdown with rival Justis Huni?
