The daughter of Written Tycoon recorded her best effort to date when finishing fourth at Kyneton earlier this month.

The filly jumped from an inside barrier before being beaten just over three lengths in a 1459m maiden on a Good track.

Greg Eurell’s runner was well away and tracked the early pace, shaping as though the step up in distance will suit.

The three-year-old had previously settled off the speed when finishing fourth in a 1400m maiden at Cranbourne a month earlier.

That Cranbourne effort saw the filly beaten just under seven-and-a-half lengths at big odds, but her breeding suggests she will handle the softer going expected, and from barrier nine she looks capable of breaking through under Declan Bates.

Kilmore Best Bet - Race 5 No. 6 He’s A Hustler

The three-year-old produced a respectable effort on debut when finishing seventh on a wet track at Seymour in September.

Beaten just over four-and-a-half lengths over 1200m, the gelding has shown improvement in two runs since returning from a spell.

The first of those saw him beaten just under two-and-a-half lengths in an 1170m maiden at Wangaratta last month.

Racing on a Good 4 surface, the gelding settled on speed and held his ground well in the closing stages.

He returned to a wet track at Terang two weeks ago and was beaten just under two lengths over 1206m after racing wide, and with blinkers applied for the first time, the Street Boss gelding looks ready to break through.

C&M Build Group BM62 Handicap Tips (Race 8)

Kilmore Value Bet - Race 8 No. 5 First Day

The five-year-old has been held in both starts since returning from a spell, beginning with an eighth-place finish at Wangaratta last month.

The mare was never a factor after jumping at $21 in a 1590m Benchmark 62 handicap on that occasion.

She was again ridden conservatively when beating just one runner home in the 1600m Corowa Cup at Corowa just over three weeks ago.

Both of those efforts came on Good tracks, and the anticipated softer conditions here are expected to suit.

With a 75% strike-rate over this distance and improvement likely third-up, the Ribchester mare profiles as a value chance from barrier six under Declan Bates.
