Race 6 No. 4 Deferred

She's very honest, with three wins and four placings to her name, while her only time finishing out of the top four was an end-of-prep fifth when back in a leader-dominated race.

Deferred returned with a third-of-seven at Ascot on February 22, where she just lacked the brilliance to let down strongly over five furlongs, but it was still a solid resumption.

All of her prior form had been in the 1200m-1400m range and 1000m is often a specialists trip, so there's clearly room to improve and she was a second-up winner last campaign.

That July 24 triumph was the middle leg of a winning hat-trick (all victories were at Belmont) and any rain won't dent her chances (her three wins have come on wet tracks).

Race 7 No. 7 Reliable Queen

Although she may have been flattered by what was technically a soft run, Reliable Queen never appeared overly comfortable in her fresh tilt, yet she managed a fourth-place finish.

The form has stood up from that Ascot Class 3, with two subsequent winners produced from the race and five-year-old was bolters odds again when stepping to 1400m last time out.

Reliable Queen was ridden cold from a wide barrier via a Bunbury Class 5 on February 27 and she only got warm late in that second-up attempt, a run that should top her off nicely.

The daughter of Reliable Man was a third-up winner over this track/trip last prep and she's tactically versatile, which gives jockey Laqdar Romoly options from an inside gate.

Race 2 No. 7 Sister Talk

She caught the eye on debut via a handy Ascot maiden and the Mitchell Pateman-trained filly was then narrowly defeated at Pinjarra on February 23.

After opening at $4.40, Sister Talk has been big mover in the early market with EliteBet, with $2.90 now available for the three-year-old.

With 35 winners recorded at a healthy strike-rate of 26.52%, Chris Parnham is the leading jockey at Belmont this season.

He has five engagements on Thursday's program and four of those rides are favourites.
