Macarthur FC vs Brisbane Roar A-League Round 4 Tips & Prediction - Unbeaten teams can't be split

Macarthur FC take on Brisbane Roar in A-League Round 4 at Campbelltown Stadium, with both teams tipped to score and a draw predicted. Both sides are unbeaten this season and have shown attacking intent, with Brisbane playing expansive football and Macarthur drawing their last two matches. Seven of the last eight meetings between these teams have seen both teams score. Shot props for Brisbane's Justin Vidic and Tom Aldred are also suggested for smaller stakes, given their recent attacking output.

Macarthur FC vs Brisbane Roar A-League Round 4 Tips & Prediction

Both teams to score and a share of the spoils are the main plays when Macarthur play host to Brisbane Roar at Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday in Round 4 of the A-League.

Macarthur and Brisbane have made encouraging starts to the season and will be hoping to preserve their respective unbeaten runs here. The Roar are showing a real willingness to move the ball and play attacking, expansive football, so I think both teams can get on the scoresheet here. Smaller stakes on a couple of shot props involving Brisbane pair Justin Vidic and Tom Aldred.

Macarthur FC vs Brisbane Roar Predictions & Best Bets

Bet
Odds
Reasoning
BTTS - Yes$1.60 @ DabbleBoth teams have scored in seven of the last eight meetings between the teams. Brisbane have seen BTTS land in their last five A-League games, while Macarthur have seen goals at each end in eight of their last 10 outings in the league
Draw$3.50 @ PicklebetMacarthur have drawn their last two games vs Newcastle & Wanderers, while Brisbane shared the spoils with Auckland last week - both teams unbeaten, tough to split & draw offers decent value in H2H market
Justin Vidic 2+ Shots On Target$4.33 @ bet365Vidic has registered 4+ shots in three of his last four A-League games - he's nailed down the starting striker spot & with Brisbane creating more chances this term, he's the main benefactor. The volume is there and $4.33 looks a tad overpriced for two shots on target
Tom Aldred 1+ Shots On Target$6.00 @ bet365Aldred is a serious threat from set pieces - the central defender popped up to score the last-minute equaliser for Brisbane last week, while he had a whopping four total shots for the game. In his last spell for Brisbane, the Scot also registered 1+ shots on target in three of his final five games. Good value again here

Macarthur FC Form Analysis

Decent start to the season for Macarthur - they've picked up four points and remain unbeaten heading into Round 4.

The Bulls started with a 2-1 home win over Perth, but probably would be disappointed with their inability to beat the embattled Newcastle Jets, settling for a 1-1 draw.

It was another share of the spoils for Sasa Ognenovski's side last week - although they were probably fortunate not to go a goal down early against the Wanderers, who saw VAR controversially rule out their early strike due to offside.

Brisbane Roar Form Analysis

Brisbane saw their opening game of the season against Adelaide postponed, but they've registered four points from their opening two outings.

Michael Valkanis' side deployed some new-look expansive football to conquer Perth Glory 2-1 in their first game of the season.

The Roar were arguably the better team for much of their clash with reigning premiers Auckland last week - and their persistent efforts were rewarded in the dying stages as they equalised to earn a 1-1 draw in stoppage time.

Macarthur FC vs Brisbane Roar Team News

Ryan Fraser continues to be utilised off the bench. Jonathan Aspropotamitis is out injured, so Nathan Paull could shift to centre back and the returning Harry Politidis could start at left back.

Scottish recruit Kai Kennedy is also available for his first A-League game.

Macarthur FC Possible Starting XI (4-4-2):
Alex Robinson, Callum Talbot, Tatsuki Nara, Nathan Paull, Harry Politidis, Luke Vickery, Dylan Rose, Liam Rose, Connor Pain, Dean Bosnjak, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos

No changes expected for Brisbane. Tate Russell and Sabit Ngor are impressing as wingbacks, while Moldovan striker Virgiliu Postolachi was lively last week with four shots.

Brisbane Roar Possible Starting XI (3-5-2): George Plusnin, Milorad Stajić, Tom Aldred, Joel King, Tate Russell, Nam Tae-hee, Noah Maieroni, Tyrese Francois, Sabit James Ngor, Justin Vidić, Virgiliu Postolachi.

Verdict

Both teams are backed to score, with a draw also tipped between these unbeaten sides.
