Wyong Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 1 Duke Of Bronte
The son of Capitalist showed good form last year including when winning at Moruya and Goulburn in June and July respectively.
The pick came home nearly seven lengths clear of his rivals over 900m at Goulburn and he delivered a career best effort at Randwick on his return to action in early November.
The gelding recorded his first metro success when victorious by nearly two lengths in a 1000m Class 3 handicap when racing on a good 4 track at Randwick.
The selection is set to encounter similar underfoot conditions here and his two defeats subsequently can in part be put down to heat stress.
A change of tactics saw the gelding track the speed from barrier four rather than front run last time out and he has a good barrier in this contest.
Molly Bourke’s two kilogram claim is a positive and the pick looks up to recording his second Class 3 win of the campaign.

The pick went on to follow up when scoring by two lengths in a 1200m Benchmark 78 handicap at Rosehill with both of those efforts coming on wet surfaces.
Chris Waller’s filly resumed with a good effort in being beaten just over two lengths into sixth in a 1400m Benchmark 78 handicap at Rosehill at the end of November.
The selection faded when racing over the same distance in a similar contest at Randwick three weeks later.
The drop back in distance is expected to suit with Zac Lloyd’s mount having placed on both previous appearances over this distance.
Any softening of the going would aid the daughter of Deep Field’s chances and she is taken to register a victory racing third up.
De Bortoli Wines Benchmark 88 Handicap Tips (Race 7)
Wyong Best Bet - Race 7 No. 6 Bullets High
The New Zealand-bred gelding has been going well so far this season including when resuming with a narrow victory over 1400m at Warwick Farm.
The four-year-old raced on a soft 5 track when competing at Benchmark 72 handicap level that day and has since proven he can compete at a higher level.
The selection’s subsequent efforts have amounted to four top three finishes from five starts including when runner-up over 2000m at Rosehill on his penultimate start.
The son of Ace High encountered a heavy 10 track when finding only a strong finishing rival too good form having raced close to the speed that day.
The pick arrives here on the back of a third in a Benchmark 88 handicap on a sound surface at Randwick two weeks ago and similar underfoot conditions are expected for this event.
Joe Pride’s gelding is a versatile type with regard to tactics and looks capable of registering a win stepping up slightly in distance.

Wyong Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 12 Redbreast
The four-year-old won two of her first three starts including by four-and-a-half-lengths over 1400m in a Benchmark 68 handicap at Randwick Kensington in April.
While the filly failed to make an impact at Listed level in the Channel 7 Gold Coast Bracelet over 1800m at Sunshine Coast subsequently she can be forgiven that effort in testing conditions.
The daughter of American Pharoah resumed with a narrow victory when contesting a 1400m Benchmark 78 handicap at Rosehill at the end of November.
Successful on a soft 7 track that day the pick was beaten just over four lengths when seventh of eight in a similar contest over 1600m at Randwick last month.
The selection usually shows good speed and races from the front with an inside alley a positive in this contest.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, the mare gets in off a nice racing weight here and with improvement expected she looks capable of returning to winning ways.
