Warwick Farm Next Best Bet - Race 3 No. 4 Kilonova

We were with Kilonova via her 1200m debut victory at Rosehill in February and the Chris Waller-trained filly was spelled after that breakthrough win.

Only a lack of race of race experience cost her putting a bigger margin on Fleeting Spirit (runner-up), as the daughter of Zoustar was green in that first race day appearance.

The subsequent form through Fleeting Spirit reads well, with that galloper second to a smart Meridiana (stakes-placed) before recording a maiden triumph on March 26.

While she saluted over 1200m last prep, Artiebrett had a very economical run in that Gosford attempt and her prior wins were all in the 1000m-1100m range.

Three of her five victories have come at 1000m, which includes a first-up success on a Soft 7 last winter, while she was a Heavy 10 winner early in her second campaign.

Artiebrett appeared to be in good order via a quiet Canterbury trial on June 23 and with decent fresh stats, she could be dangerous with a low weight in this return.

This John Thompson-trained galloper trialled well in two heats and as a result of those workouts, she was supported at an each-way price via her June 14 resumption.

American Starlet was ridden cold from a wide gate in that fresh outing and she ran the fastest last 600m of that Midway contest despite being held-up at key stages.

There's still upside with this four-year-old, who was runner-up behind a handy Puntin at Warwick Farm in January and the first two cleared right out in that event.

Warwick Farm Best Bet - Race 6 No. 7 Hopper

On what's likely to be a deteriorating surface late in the program, a wide draw might not be a big negative for Hopper, who could be finding the best ground.

Spelled after a two-run first prep, the three-year-old was gelded ahead of his second campaign and he broke through fresh at Warwick Farm as a well-backed fav.

Hopper lost no admirers second-up, where he was runner-up to Mickey's Medal (BM78 winner next start) and last start, he ran the fastest last 400m and 200m of a Randwick BM72.
