Randwick Roughie - Race 2 No. 10 Convergent

Connections have taken their time with this four-year-old, who circled a small field off a slow tempo on debut and he sustained a long run to salute.

As a one-paced, but strong galloper, Convergent will likely get over more ground in time and some nice Kiwi bloodlines on his dam's side backs that up.

Blinkers came off for a tick-over trial on May 30, but he they're reapplied for race day and Convergent could be the one on an upwards spiral vs some well exposed rivals.

The Consortium Clemenger Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Randwick Best Bet - Race 5 No. 1 Hurstville Zagreb

The second-up beaten margin looks worse given the winner absolutely bolted in and Hurstville Zagreb can progress further with that 1800m run under the belt.

He was unbeaten in two runs over his first prep and the gelding was unlucky not to extend that streak via his Gosford return, where he covered ground.

The three-year-old put a decent margin on Rotagilla (third fav) via their May 24 clash and there's more upside with Hurstville Zagreb, who is ready for 2000m.

Asahi Super Dry Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Randwick Favourite - Race 6 No. 14 Federer

Arguably the most interesting runner on the entire Randwick program is the resuming Federer, who is the second foal out of champion mare, Jameka.

The four-year-old looked as classy as his namesake early this season, with two big wins to open his account and the last was a metro romp by six lengths.

Federer then produced a shocker as $1.55 fav at Caulfield and he was tipped out as a result, but the last of his May trials (on a Heavy 9) was encouraging.

Singapore Pools Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Randwick Value Bet - Race 9 No. 9 Shadizi

Whinchat is a deserving fav and the market elect can at least be saved on in the penultimate, however, this could be the chance to catch Shadizi at a price.

The Chris Waller-trained import has worked nicely in two trials ahead of his Australian debut and he was strong past the line when under a hold in the latest.

Shadizi showed an electric turn-of-foot when campaigning in France and the penny did drop at the back-end, with a 5.5-length victory followed by a Listed win.

Toyota Forklifts Handicap Tips (Race 10)

Randwick Next Best Bet - Race 10 No. 4 Storm The Ramparts

He lacked fight in two preps last year and Storm The Ramparts appears to be back on track, with a brave return effort followed by a second-up triumph.

That May 24 success was recorded over this track/trip and with the weight rise/penalty being of no concern over 1000m, he's well placed staying in a BM78.

Blinkers were back on ahead of that last win, where he beat Grand Larceny (won his prior three starts) and that run should give Storm The Ramparts some confidence.
