Morphettville Roughie - Race 2 No. 2 Mine All Mine

The four-year-old has won three of five starts this campaign.

While those victories have all come at a lower level, there’s been plenty to like about them, including the tactical versatility demonstrated.

The gelding raced from off the pace, having jumped from a wide barrier prior to getting home by a narrow margin at Murray Bridge in April.

Mine All Mine went on to complete a double at that venue when making all from an inside barrier later that month.

The son of Overshare has been racing on good ground in recent times, but wet track is no issue here, having broken his maiden on a Soft 6.

Jake Toeroek, on board for the first of those Murray Bridge efforts, is again set to ride and he should have options from barrier two.

Hahn Handicap Tips (Race 4)

Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 4 Even Sharper

The son of More Than Ready has three placings from four outings this prep.

Two of those placed efforts have come at this venue, including when racing over 1250m at this track on his return to action in March.

While the gelding failed to shine over the same track/trip subsequently, he has finished second over this distance in his two most recent starts.

The four-year-old’s latest effort saw him lose out by less than half-a-length when contesting a Class 2 handicap here last month.

The fifth home that day has boosted the form by winning at Murray Bridge subsequently and Even Sharper has a kind draw.

All four of the gelding’s efforts this prep have come on a sound surface, however, it’s notable that both of his previous wins were on soft going.

Aceit Transport Solutions Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Morphettville Value Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Purfect Line

One of two in the field for Richard & Chantelle Jolly, Purfect Kine showed up well when runner-up at Balaklava first-up last prep.

The son of Dedline lost out by half-a-length when contesting a 1050m maiden that day and he duly went one better at Strathalbyn next time.

While unable to score in five subsequent outings that prep, he did perform well in defeat on each occasion, including over 1250m here two starts back.

Purfect Line lost out by less than a length when fourth, having raced on the pace in a Benchmark 68 handicap held on a Good 4 that day.

The gelding encountered similar underfoot conditions when a close second in a 1200m Benchmark 62 handicap at Balaklava eight days later.

He was spelled following that effort and he draws well his first public appearance since February.

SkyCity Handicap Tips (Race 8)

Morphettville Best Bet - Race 8 No. 2 Magic Field

Andrew Clarken’s gelding is a dual winner, with both of those efforts coming on wet tracks and that includes an impressive victory at Gawler just under a year ago.

The gelding came home over four lengths clear of his rivals that day and he ent on to complete a double in a 1000m event held at this venue next time.

The son of Deep Field ended that prep with a down the field ninth in a Benchmark 0-64 handicap held over 1100m on the main course here in October.

Magic Field returned with a respectable effort when beaten just over three lengths here last month.

He's expected to have improved for that first-up effort and the gelding gets his favoured wet conditions for the first time since August.

Felicity Atkinson rode a double at Balaklava on Wednesday and with an inside alley a further positiv, she looks up to steering Magic Field to victory.
