Morphettville Best Bet - Race 3 No. 5 The Sprinkler
The Sprinkler has shown a liking for this venue previously, delivering a close second on his only prior appearance here.
That run came in a Class 2 handicap over 1200m on a wet track at the end of May.
While he has won on soft ground in the past, the gelding is equally effective on good surfaces, having recorded three top-four finishes from three runs this preparation.
The son of Smart Missile has continued to improve with racing, going down by less than a length in a Benchmark 70 at Murray Bridge two weeks ago.
That effort was his first start over 1400m this prep and with Jake Toeroek retaining the ride from an inside draw, the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained galloper is expected to take another step forward.
PFD Food Services Maiden Plate Tips (Race 5)
Morphettville Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 12 Prestige Ka Ying
Prestige Ka Ying has shown consistent ability in her maiden campaign, finishing in the first four at each of her four starts.
All of those runs have come in Victoria, including three this preparation, most recently when runner-up at Cranbourne three weeks ago.
She jumped from a wide barrier on that occasion, crossed to race on speed and was beaten two lengths in a 1200m maiden.
The third home from that race has since won at Cranbourne, while several unplaced runners have gone on to place at their next starts.
She had earlier finished third over 1209m at Yarra Valley on a sound surface and with Rochelle Milnes riding for the first time, she is taken to overcome barrier twelve.
Sportsbet Durbridge Stakes (Listed) Tips (Race 8)
Morphettville Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Grinzinger Prince
Grinzinger Prince has proven competitive at this level previously, including a runner-up finish in the 1200m Christmas Handicap here in December 2024.
The gelding has made just five appearances since, including when finishing last in this race twelve months ago after jumping at long odds.
He has shown improvement in three starts since returning from a break, each time starting at double-figure prices.
That sequence includes a 1050m Benchmark 84 win here first-up and a solid fourth in a Listed race over this track and trip in November.
Freshened since finishing a close third in the Listed Christmas Handicap last month, the Cody Reardon-trained runner is taken to record his seventh career win.
Thomas Farms Handicap Tips (Race 10)
Morphettville Value Bet - Race 10 No. 6 Daisydoo
Daisydoo has been a model of consistency, finishing in the top three in ten of her thirteen career starts.
Those efforts include a Benchmark 66 win on the Parks track here last June, with her only unplaced run since coming in the Listed Lightning Stakes at this venue.
The daughter of Thronum has been racing well at Murray Bridge this preparation, losing by less than half a length on two occasions, including when second there two weeks ago.
She contested a Benchmark 0-66 over 1200m last time, having placed in a Benchmark 70 over 1000m a week earlier.
Margaret Collett reunites with the mare and while a double-figure draw is not ideal, her racing pattern this prep suggests she can figure at value.
