Testing conditions await the midweek runners, with the track currently rated a Heavy 10 and wet-track form likely to prove especially important across the card.

Eagle Farm Tips October 28

Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 2 No. 4 Duchess Difficult
A more positive ride brought out an improved performance from Duchess Difficult at Doomben last start, with the Matt Hoysted-trained mare finishing a close runner-up after settling nearer the speed than she had in her previous appearances.
The four-year-old was beaten less than a length on that occasion, having resumed with a fifth over 1000m at the Gold Coast in September, where she performed respectably without threatening the winner.
That Gold Coast maiden has since produced some useful form, with the winner subsequently successful at Doomben and several beaten runners placing at their next appearances, suggesting Duchess Difficult has been competing against reasonable opposition.
Although both runs this preparation have come on Good ground, the daughter of Prince Fawaz was runner-up on Heavy going on debut, providing encouragement that Wednesday's testing conditions will be to her liking.
Barrier two should allow Jag Guthmann-Chester to secure an economical passage and adopt similarly positive tactics, and with the mare approaching peak fitness third-up, Duchess Difficult appeals as an each-way chance to break through at her fifth attempt.
DrinkWise QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate Tips (Race 4)
Eagle Farm Best Bet - Race 4 No. 11 Mystical
A drop from Sydney metropolitan company could be exactly what Mystical needs to open her winning account, with the Todd Pollard-trained filly returning to Queensland after competing against stronger opposition throughout her early career.
The daughter of Exceed And Excel showed considerable promise as a juvenile, including a Listed placing, before resuming at Warwick Farm in September and finishing fifth in a 1200m maiden on Soft ground.
Although beaten five-and-a-half lengths on that occasion, the form has developed strongly, with the first two across the line both winning subsequently, while her earlier performances indicate she should be capable of handling Wednesday's testing conditions.
A freshen-up since that Warwick Farm appearance should have the three-year-old ready to produce an improved effort, while barrier five offers Ben Thompson several options in a competitive 1400m maiden.
Pollard has enjoyed an excellent record at Eagle Farm throughout 2026, preparing seven winners from 26 runners at a strike rate approaching 27%, and with a leading jockey aboard, Mystical looks well placed to finally convert her ability into a victory.
Sky Racing Benchmark 72 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Eagle Farm Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Noble Decree
Proven wet-track ability makes Noble Decree an appealing first-up prospect, with the five-year-old returning from an eight-month spell and making his debut for the Todd Pollard stable.
The son of Per Incanto has already recorded a victory on rain-affected ground, having broken his maiden first-up at Ipswich in April 2025, while a previous runner-up finish on Heavy going suggests Wednesday's conditions should be particularly suitable.
His most recent campaign was a consistent one, finishing in the first three at all four appearances, including a third over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast when resuming from his previous break.
The rise to 1300m should hold no fears, with two of his three career victories coming at similar distances, and there is plenty of encouragement in his ability to produce competitive performances fresh.
Two recent Doomben trials have prepared Noble Decree for his return, and although barrier 14 presents a challenge, his strong first-up record and proven ability on testing ground make him a leading contender in an open Benchmark 72.

Eagle Farm Roughie - Race 7 No. 2 Godtfred Kirk
Heavy ground could bring Godtfred Kirk firmly into calculations at a big price, with the four-year-old boasting a strong record in testing conditions and consistently performing well throughout his current preparation.
The Corey and Kylie Geran-trained gelding has placed in three of his four appearances on Heavy tracks, while his latest outing produced an encouraging third in Class 2 company over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast.
Sent out at $20 on that occasion, the son of Ole Kirk stayed on well to finish three-and-a-half lengths from the winner, offering another reminder that he is capable of competing against stronger opposition than his sole career victory might suggest.
Consistency has been a feature of his preparation, finishing in the first four at all nine appearances, including seven top-three results, while an earlier metropolitan placing on Heavy ground at Sandown provides another useful reference.
The return to set-weights Class 1 company looks an attractive opportunity, and with Corey Sutherland claiming 2kg, Godtfred Kirk has the wet-track credentials and consistent recent form to surprise several more fancied rivals in the Eagle Farm finale.
