Ule Hoof Oil Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Caulfield Favourite - Race 4 No. 8 American Wolf
American Wolf was scratched from an easier affair on Wednesday for this, with connections likely eyeing the better prizemoney on offer.
He is now down in the weights, retains the services of Michael Dee, and also enjoys a decent weight swing in his favour against Sun Gift.
The St Leger winner meets the market elect fitter this time, draws a low gate, and with two runs completed, the step to 2400m could be close to his peak.
He returned with a solid effort over 1600m, working home well despite being restricted for room.
The latest run was encouraging without many favours and he continues to build nicely into this assignment.
Robert Hunter Handicap Tips (Race 5)
Caulfield Value Bet - Race 5 No. 10 Zuppa Inglese
The 1170m first-up proved a touch sharp, but Zuppa Inglese still produced a nice return when finishing second behind Hotspur Reale.
That form has since stood up, with Hotspur Reale unlucky when beaten at Cranbourne last week.
She went one better second-up at Werribee with a comfortable victory and now looks a stronger filly than the one seen during three runs last winter.
That campaign included a well-beaten third behind Our Chief, the favourite here, where a wet track and covering ground worked against her.
The market has consistently respected her outside of her debut second at Echuca and, back against her own age group and down in the weights, she looks well placed to continue developing.

Caulfield Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Damask Rose
Damask Rose claimed some handy scalps during her New Zealand campaign, including back-to-back wins early last year.
In the latter of those victories she comfortably accounted for Evaporate, who went on to bolt in with a Group 3 and later record multiple Group 1 placings and a Golden Eagle placing in spring.
Nothing went right early in her first Australian preparation, but it did include a strong return over this track-and-trip.
On that occasion she ran the second-fastest final 200m of the entire Memsie Stakes program.
That was in a mares race with considerably more depth than this, and while she will need luck, Damask Rose could prove too classy if the gaps appear.
Remembering Noel Cooper Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Caulfield Best Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Gallant Son
Gallant Son snapped a long winning drought first-up at Flemington and while the margin was small, the performance should give him confidence.
The entire competed in strong company throughout his three-year-old season.
Second-up last campaign he finished runner-up to Alabama Lass, who was Group 1 placed at her next start.
He then chased home Reserve Bank, who later defeated Giga Kick in the Group 1 Goodwood.
This assignment is tougher than the fresh run, but it still appears well within his grasp.
Mal Seccull Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Caulfield Roughie - Race 9 No. 9 Unseen Ruler
A wide draw has pushed Unseen Ruler out to a price in this metropolitan BM84.
Now fourth-up and stepping to 1800m, the Matthew Williams-trained galloper should be close to his peak.
Following a solid return at Sandown, he produced a sound chasing performance second-up, finishing third as favourite.
Last start he was dragged back early but made ground strongly, recording the fastest closing sectionals of a fast-run race.
Firm ground is key for this six-year-old and after a disappointing 2025, his three summer runs suggest the stable has him firing again.
